BLUE CHRISTMAS: ONE NIGHT STANDS Holiday Edition

The Chippendales add beefcake to AFAN’s Blue Christmas Brunch…

Ho Ho HO! It’s that time of the year when the stars come out in all their glittery splendor. We began our ONE NIGHT STANDS – Holiday Edition with Part One a few days back. There are many more great events and shows to share. Let’s start with one of the splashiest.

AFAN is one of the busiest and most dedicated humanitarian organizations in Las Vegas. Its ties to the entertainment community allow it to present dazzling fundraisers and galas for those dealing with AIDS. Annual events like the AFAN AIDS WalkStuds and Suds Car Wash, and Black and White Party present Sin City at its most philanthropic (often in outlandish ways). A single-performance brunch show promises to do the same.

Fans of GLITZ – The Showkids Show will be pleased to know that the DNA of that recurring production is alive at Mandalay Bay’s HOUSE OF BLUES. GLITZ hosts Estevan Velasco and Cierra Bliss are back for BLUE CHRISTMAS.

AFAN will kick off the holiday season with ‘Blue Christmas,’ a celebration of holiday carols & cuisine, hosted at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. Guests will enjoy performances from American Idol finalist David Hernandez, as well as Vegas-based entertainers Brett Pruneau, Cierra Bliss, and Estevan Velasco. Hosted by the infamous Edie, the afternoon will blend holiday music, food, and community while advocating for HIV/AIDS awareness and support.

On November 25th, VEGAS 411 received notice that cast members from CHIPPENDALES will also be a part of BLUE CHRISTMAS. So now you can have beefcake with your brunch. It’s also worth noting that the male revue will have its final performance at Rio Las Vegas on December 31st before relocating to Linq Hotel in mid-January. The move will include new cast members and a reimagined production.

Tickets for Blue Christmas are available at afanlv.org. Proceeds from the event will support AFAN’s ongoing services for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada. ‘Blue Christmas’ is presented in collaboration with Clark County’s Love! Live! U=U campaign, supporting AFAN’s commitment to both education and compassionate advocacy. To learn more about U=U and available resources, visit uequalsulas.com.
