Ranking Every Las Vegas Sports Head Coach

Every Las Vegas sports head coach has a lot to answer. Here’s where they fall in our ranking.

#4 Josh McDaniels: Las Vegas Raiders

Josh McDaniels is the worst coach in Las Vegas, and he’s not getting any better. Not only is that evident by the Raiders’ current record but also by their countless mistakes.  Whether offense or defense, McDaniels just hasn’t created a winning culture in the organization. He has seemingly sent them backward.

Remember that Rich Bissacia had this team finish the last 13 games with a  7-5 record last season, and you can see how hard they fell. The biggest mistakes so far have to be either extending Derek Carr’s contract or not improving the defense more. This has led to the Raiders being one of the worst teams on both sides of the ball and floundering in the standings. McDaniels needs to go.

#3 Richard Childress: Richard Childress Racing

While NASCAR is different from any other sport on this list, they still have a coach to steer the ship. This is usually the owner, who decides from the top to the bottom what goes on within their team. Fortunately for Kyle Busch,  he will be working with none other than Richard Childress next season. This might even lead to a third championship for the Las Vegas native, which would be a massive accomplishment. It would put him up there with the likes of three-time champion Tony Stewart.

For those who don’t know, Childress is one of the winningest owners in NACAR history and a established name. He was also the owner of the iconic #3 car driven by Dale Earnhardt Sr.  The man who went on to win seven championships and 78 races. Busch is in good hands with RCR.

#2 Bruce Cassidy: Las Vegas Golden Knights

Who would have thought Bruce Cassidy could have such an immediate impact on the Las Vegas Golden Knights? The coach took a team that collapsed from the top of the standings last season and brought them back to the top. He also installed a new goalie rotation in Logan Thompson and Adin Hill, which is working great! So much so that they put Laurent Brossoit on waivers and could be close to getting rid of Robin Lehner as well.

He also has guys like Jack Eichel, Jonathan Marchessault, Reily Smith, and a lot of other great weapons for the team. He’s eliminating the dead weight and really pulling them in the right direction. In fact, the Knights have one of the best records in the league this year and could be a favorite in the playoffs.

#1 Becky Hammon: Las Vegas Aces

Does it come as a surprise to anyone that Becky Hammon is the best head coach in Las Vegas? She more than earned the honor after helping the Aces to a 26-10 record in 2022 and an 8-2 record in the playoffs. This culminated in their  first championship as a franchise, which is a massive accomplishment.

They also took home hardware for MVP, Finals MVP, Most Improved Player, DPOTY, and Coach of the Year! Hammon set the standard for future coaches in this city. She’s the best Vegas has to offer.
