Santa’s coming to town, so it’s time to find out- are these Las Vegas sports stars naughty or nice?
1. Las Vegas Raider Wide Receiver Davantae Adams: Naughty

How can you not end up on the naughty list after running into your own receiver during a crucial play? He also shoved a cameraman on Monday Night Football and verbally berated a referee after a controversial call. This is a guy that has usually kept his nose clean and a lump of coal might help him change his ways. Or maybe a fine for pushing the cameraman.
2. Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr: Naughty

Derek Carr should be arrested and charged with stealing $121.5 million after his performance this season. The contract extension that was supposed to be a motivator to get Carr back on top ended up being another mistake. In fact, the Raiders are 4-7 in the first 11 games, and Carr keeps struggling in key game moments.
What’s worse about Carr is the fact that he’s hanging on to a position that should have been given to someone else by now. Carr has had years to prove that he is the guy for this team and never really has. He sits with a record of 61-77. Not exactly the kind of stat you want for a franchise quarterback. Carr is just so unbelievably naughty.

3. Las Vegas Raiders Head Coach Josh McDaniels: Naughty

There’s a special place on Santa’s naughty list for Josh McDaniels. How could there not be after he led the Las Vegas Raiders to a 4-7 start to their season? One of those losses was to Jeff Saturday and the Indianapolis Colts, who are a bottom-of-the-barrel team. Saturday had never even coached at the professional level and he still defeated McDaniels.
He doesn’t seem to be the answer to the Raiders’ problem. Unfortunately for those hoping to get rid of him, rumor has it that the Raiders can’t afford to buy out his contract. This leaves the organization stuck with McDaniels for the near future.
4. NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch: Nice

How does Las Vegas native Kyle Busch end up on the nice list for what has to be one of the only times in his career? While Busch still had his moments throughout the 2022 season, he became a little more humbled. He wasn’t so quick to speak or act out in anger. He was much more poised and composed when talking to the media.
Furthermore, he played into his role as the villain of NASCAR so perfectly this season. He knew how to have the crowd eating out of the palm of his hands before and after races. He just knows how to solicit a reaction and is pretty much carrying the sport at this point.
5. Las Vegas Golden Knights Goalie Logan Thompson: Nice

Logan Thompson has been a very good boy this year. In fact, the Las Vegas Golden Knights goalie has 453 saves, two shutouts, and 39 goals allowed in 493 shots sent his way. Thompson also sits with a 12-4 record as a starter and has played over 930 minutes this season. How could he not be on the nice list with those numbers?
6. Las Vegas Aces Small Forward A’ja Wilson: Nice

Another person that deserves to be on the nice list is A’ja Wilson for her amazing season with the Las Vegas Aces. Not only did she win Defensive Player of the Year, but also took home MVP honors. Wilson and Las Vegas capped off the season by winning their first championship in organization history.
7. Las Vegas Raiders Running Back Joshua Jacobs: Nice

This man deserves a sack full of presents from Santa Claus for everything he has accomplished in 2022. Jacobs continues to be one of the few shining lights left on the Las Vegas Raiders and is having a career-best season. Jacobs has even moved his way into the top five on the all-time Raiders rushing list, cementing him in history.
He currently sits with 216 carries, 1159 yards, 5.4 yards a carry, and nine touchdowns. Jacobs has also been instrumental in almost every one of the Raiders’ wins this season, earning him a big box of presents for Christmas. He also deserves a contract extension for all of his contributions to the Raiders this season. Jacobs is just someone they can’t afford to lose.
8. Kurt Busch, Former NASCAR Cup Series Driver: Nice

Kurt Busch deserved better when it came to how his NASCAR Cup Series career ended. The Las Vegas native got injured during a qualifying lap at Pocono Raceway, resulting in concussion-like symptoms. Busch sat out the rest of the season after suffering the injury and missed the playoffs.
The worst part is Busch had to announce that he was retiring from full-time racing competition. He did leave the door open for one-off races in the future but claimed it depended on if he fully recovered or not. This is enough to put Busch on the nice list.
9. Las Vegas Aces Head Coach Becky Hammon: Nice

Becky Hammon Hammon was the nicest of them all. She stole the hearts of Las Vegas when she became Head Coach of the Las Vegas Aces and led them to a championship! She did so with a 26-10 record in the regular season, followed by an 8-2 record in the playoffs.
Hammon then led her team to a 3-1 victory in the WNBA Finals over the Connecticut Suns. Another crowning achievement was winning coach of the year, becoming the first woman to do so in WNBA history.
