Renowned impersonator opens at Modern Showrooms on March 27th

Vegas resident Rob Garrett is much more than just an impersonator. With over forty years of onstage experience, the singer is himself a top draw. He began his Vegas career in 1980 with “Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven”, a classic rock band that prospered through the mid-90’s. That’s when he was recruited to portray Neil Diamond for the Honolulu edition of LEGENDS IN CONCERT. A two-month engagement with the tribute extravaganza was extended to three years, after which Garrett brought his act to the Vegas version for another two years.

After the successful LEGENDS run, Garrett created his own full-length Neil Diamond tribute show, which has played throughout Las Vegas and toured the country. Along the way, he’s accumulated numerous awards and earned the nickname “King of Diamonds”. On January 8th, Rob Garrett and The Classic Diamonds Orchestra will perform Neil Diamond: The Tribute at M Resort Casino. It’s slated to be the biggest production of his career…and Garrett is understandably excited:
“This is going to be unlike anything I have ever done before in my 42 years as a Vegas entertainer. My ‘coupe de grace’, if you will. A 16-piece band including my core rhythm section, a female string quartet, and male horn section in an 1,800 seat room with muti-media. For me personally, this will be MY Greek Theater or better yet, my Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (‘Diamondheads’ will understand the analogy).”

Musicians include Steve Gerard Borzage, Mark Stephen Gendel, Daryl Slade, Steve Henley, Pat Caruso, Scott Sanford, Steve Scheck, Bill King, Carlitos Leon, Ivie Etkins Turner, Diana Roth, Sina K Foley, Llynda More, and former Las Vegas band member LJ Harness.
“Thanks to the M Resort, Casino, and Spa for allowing me this ‘bucket list’ opportunity to present an extraordinary tribute to an extraordinary, iconic, performer who deserves nothing less. I’m elated!” – Rob Garrett
