Red Rock Canyon is a convenient place for camping, being about half an hour away from the Strip. Despite being close to one of the busiest cities in the world, it is very peaceful, and the tranquillity is perfect for camping. Campers have fantastic views of hills and mountains that stretch into the horizon. This is a popular site, so visitors should book early enough to reserve their slots during peak season.
2. Valley of Fire State Park

The red rocks around this site create quite the spectacle and offer lovely views to campers. It’s a bit far from Vegas, but the one-hour drive is worth it in the end as the camping experience here is exceptional. There are two main camping grounds at Valley of Fire State Park: the main one catering to tent and RV campers complete with water and electricity. Campers also get good toilets and showers. The other campground, named Arch Rock, is quite beautiful but has fewer amenities.
3. Boulder Beach at Lake Mead

What better way to camp than by the beach? Boulder Beach at Lake Mead with beautiful scenery under the sun. Nevada is generally hot, and the cool breeze from the lake makes the environment ideal for relaxation. Access to the grounds is on a first-come, first-served basis for all the hundred-plus sites.
4. Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort is a modern and extensive resort with about 700 hundred camping sites. The name is quite suitable, judging from the overall setting of nature, trees, and vegetation surrounding a pool. Unlike most campsites, you can facilities like a hot tub, a grocery store, laundry and more. Large RVs are welcome here.
5. McWilliams Campground

Anyone who loves the wild would love McWilliams Campground, a spot about an hour away from Downtown Las Vegas. It’s not too far from Mary Jane Falls, and there is an excellent hiking trail nearby. Campers in RV’s as well as tent campers are all welcome here. Interested parties need to book slots in advance to be guaranteed a place. There are about 75 sites, and it gets very competitive during peak season, so slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
