Mars candy company announced that they would no longer sponsor Las Vegas native Kyle Busch beyond the 2022 season, leaving the two-time Cup Series champion without his best support. This comes at a time when NASCAR and motorsports, in general, are on a downward swing in popularity, making it difficult to find new sponsorships.
Even if Kyle Busch does find a sponsor to fill the shoes of Mars, it will likely not be the same as it was back when Skittles and M&Ms donned the front of his car. In fact, this could lead to him taking a sponsorship deal for less money and thus receiving fewer funds to compete at the Cup level. Kyle Busch needs a new sponsorship deal before 2022 ends, and it needs to be something big enough for him to stay competitive. If not, he risks being out of the sport by 2024.
