2. Pay tables Matter
Don't settle for a random paytable as different paytables have different returns. Video poker allows you to see the anticipated return in advance. Do some research and go for a machine with the highest possible return percentage, making you more money when you win.
For every win, the house takes a percentage of the total reward. You get a higher take-home amount when you choose your paytable wisely. In Jacks or Better, a 9/6 or greater pay chart will give you a reasonable return with each win. It only takes a little strategy to transform an average win into a more profitable win.
