Winning a championship in your first year as an organization is no easy feat to accomplish. The Las Vegas Golden Knights came close, though, in 2017 after finishing the regular season with a 51-24 record, accumulating 109 points in the process. The team would then go on to wreak havoc in the playoffs, going 12-3 in the first three rounds of play. The Cinderella story didn’t last, though, as they lost the Stanley Cup Finals series 4-1. The Golden Knights haven’t been back to the finals since then and show no sign of doing so anytime soon.
