Explore Every Themed Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas

Visiting Las Vegas can give you an around-the-world experience. Different themed hotels and casinos let you explore and relive various eras and places without extra flights. Vegas’ themed era seems to be winding down, so let’s take a look at what’s left.

Caesars Palace

Theme: Roman

Caesars Palace takes you back in time. A huge statue of Augustus Caesar ushers you into the casino.

At the Forum Shops, you’ll notice the Roman architecture, fountains, other statues, and Corinthian columns. To match the Roman Empire theme is the iconic Colosseum, which resembles the shape of the Roman amphitheater. Caesars Palace may be over 50 years old, but it maintains its elegance.

Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Theme: Medieval Fantasy

The Excalibur Hotel and Casino is a castle-themed hotel and casino in Las Vegas whose name is inspired by King Arthur’s mythical Excalibur sword. This medieval-themed resort is located on the Las Vegas Strip and is known for its castle-inspired architecture, especially the battlement-topped towers. With its theme, it makes sense that it has long hosted the Tournament of Kings, a dinner show featuring live jousting. There’s also a fun dungeon with over 200 games.

Luxor Hotel & Casino

Theme: Egyptian

The Luxor has unique architecture. Everyone recognizes the 30-story pyramid structure that shines a powerful light beam from its apex. The name “Luxor” comes from an Arabic word meaning “The Palaces” or “The Forts.” Luxor is a popular city in Egypt and is also known as the world’s greatest open-air museum because it is home to ancient monuments, tombs, and temples.

You’ll also notice a replica of the Great Sphinx and ancient Egyptian decor throughout the resort. Most of the intense theming this resort originally had is gone, but you can still spot the Egyptian flair.

The Venetian

Theme: Venice, Italy

The list of themed hotels and casinos in Vegas would be incomplete without mentioning the Venetian. The Venetian is one of the most luxurious casinos on the planet.

This Venice-themed world, complete with gondola rides along its indoor canals, will make you forget you’re still in the Nevada desert. The complex’s restaurants have outdoor patios, and their ambiance resembles Italy’s iconic al fresco dining style.

The Venetian also has St. Mark’s Square, an architectural masterpiece replicating the famous square in Venice, Italy.

New York-New York Hotel and Casino

Theme: New York City Theme

Unlike most themed resorts in Vegas, the New York-New York Hotel and Casino recreates a specific city’s landmarks and modern energy. It reimagines the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Statue of Liberty, a lagoon representing New York Harbor, and a replica of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Since Las Vegas is all about thrills, The Big Apple Coaster, with a theme of New York City’s taxicabs, gives you breathtaking vistas at 203 feet before giving you a 180-degree twist that will pump your adrenaline.

Tuscany Suites Hotel and Casino

Theme: Tuscany

Wish you were walking along the streets of Italy? The Tuscany Suites is an Italian-themed Vegas resort. It has four on-site restaurants: Tuscany Gardens for Italian cuisine, Marilyn’s Cafe for casual dining, and Caffe Bottega for coffee and light bites.

Tuscany Suites & Casino tries to remind you of Northern Italy. It features lush gardens and Mediterranean-inspired architecture.

Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

Theme: Paris

The Paris Las Vegas is where the city of love and the neon capital of the world converge. Complete with cobblestone streets and an Eiffel Tower replica, this themed hotel and casino in Las Vegas has a French-inspired vibe.

The Paris features replicas of iconic landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, the façade of the Louvre, the Paris Opera House, and the Hôtel de Ville. There are souvenirs at the Eiffel gift shop on the casino floor to add to the Paris feeling. The French theme would be incomplete without a taste of French cuisine, which you can get at Gordon Ramsay Steak, the Eiffel Tower, and Mon Ami Gabi restaurants.
