WWE hasn’t revealed much about the upcoming NXT BattleGround pay-per-view, but it has great potential. The company already announced a six-woman ladder match to determine the first-ever Women’s NXT North American champion, which gives fans a chance to witness history. WWE has also experimented with UFC-style stipulations in its matches over the years, opening the door to endless possibilities that suit a larger audience.
One example is the fight pit match. It turns what would usually be a boxed cage into an octagon and focuses more on striking. There are occasional wrestling moves mixed in for good measure, but it usually gets some of the biggest pops of the night. For example, one wrestler, Matt Riddle, defeated Timothy Thatcher by literally jumping off the top of the structure onto his opponent.
The company also has the element of surprise at Battleground. Maybe the company can find a way to integrate both UFC stars and NXT talent into the event for a must-see experience.

WWE recently merged with UFC to create TKO, and the new company was first evaluated at $21.4 billion. So, hosting the event at UFC's Apex Facility makes sense.
If everything works out, the Las Vegas Apex Facility could become a permanent WWE residence.

NXT is one of WWE’s most popular entities. The appeal is that while RAW and Smackdown exist as flagships, NXT is where the future comes to life. These future superstars are just now gaining momentum, and you get to see the transformation. This is a great show for people who aren’t sure about pro wrestling because NXT gives off a special kind of energy and produces some of the company's best content. This makes it the perfect appetizer for someone looking to dip their toes into the WWE Universe.
