Springs Preserve Gardening Classes

The Springs Preserve is holding a couple of gardening classes on the weekends in September. Learn techniques like how to grow your own vegetables and how to set up your own drip irrigation system.

With fall rolling around and the hot temperatures dropping, it’s a great time to get outside and learn how to grow a garden that will flourish.

Schedule of Classes

On Saturday, September 10, learn how to grow your own vegetables at the Springs Preserve Desert Living Center. The instructors will explain what kinds of seasonal vegetables to plant in your at-home garden and how to care for them.

The class will start at 9 am and go on until 11 am. The class costs $20 for members and $24 for non-members. Register online to reserve your spot, space is limited.

The following weekend, on Saturday, September 17th, learn all about drip irrigation. This free class is taught by employees of the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Join in the effort to help make the community’s landscaping more water efficient by learning how to incorporate a drip irrigation system into your own yard.

This class is free and open to the public. It runs from 9 am to 12 pm. Reservations are required. You can reserve your spot by registering online
