The popular comedy format gets a Westgate upgrade thanks to a team of show-biz pros…
You may have noticed the recent proliferation of comedy clubs throughout Las Vegas. They span the Strip from Tropicana‘s LAUGH FACTORY to L.A. COMEDY CLUB at The STRAT. Head to Fremont Street and you’ll learn that Don Barnhart has moved DELIRIOUS COMEDY CLUB from Alexis Park Resort to Downtown Grand. And now, the laughs are returning to iconic Westgate Las Vegas thanks to COMEDY CABARET.
There are a number of reasons why comedy clubs have taken off in recent years. Their production overhead is relatively low, as are the ticket prices. The slate of headliners is constantly changing, ensuring that guests will want to return over and over.
Chad Chesmark flexes his considerable talents at downtown’s House of Magic
Depending on the night, comedy clubs may showcase new talent, upcoming favorites, or household names like Jon Lovitz, Jamie Kennedy, and Pauly Shore. And earlier in the evening, the same room can host residencies for popular magic and comedy stars like Murray Sawchuck, Rich Little, Farrell Dillon, and brawny hypnotist/illusionist Chad Chesmark.
A number of top-level comics have lent their names to venues, including Brad Garrett at MGM Grand and Jimmy Kimmel at The Linq Promenade. WESTGATE COMEDY CABARET isn’t backed by a superstar, but those behind the scenes are stellar in their respective fields.
Guy Windsor is Marketing Director for The Grand Majestic Theater in Pigeon Forge. The venue is home to Hit Parade Jukebox Revue, The Magic of Terry Evanswood, and Soul of Motown. Although Grand Majestic Theater is in Tennessee, Windsor and his associates were instrumental in bringing Soul of Motown to Westgate. He’s excited to add a second title to DDM Production‘s Sin City portfolio:West
“What a thrill to be opening our new show Comedy Cabaret joining our award-winning Soul of Motown at the Westgate Resort Las Vegas! Doug Miranda and Jackie Miranda are Executive Producers for both shows and are excited to be bringing comedy back to the legendary resort.”
Doug and Jackie Miranda
Doug Miranda is the owner of Grand Majestic Theater. His wife Jackie performs in their Hit Parade Jukebox Revue. Together, they have years of experience entertaining a vast array of audience demographics. Doug says “the new Comedy Cabaret at Westgate will bring back the grandeur of the concert stage comedy shows.”
Westgate’s description of COMEDY CABARET is equally enthusiastic:
Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino – known for hosting iconic comedians in the past such as Eddie Murphy, Rodney Dangerfield, Norm Crosby, and Phyllis Diller, to name a few – is now home to Legendary Laughs inside the all-new Comedy Cabaret, presented by DDM Productions.
