STLV – Trek To Las Vegas Goes Mega-Size

Creation Entertainment’s annual gathering of Star Trek fans at Rio expands to five days…

There’s never been a better time to be a Star Trek fan. Creator Gene Roddenberry‘s vision of the future was one of courage, inclusion, togetherness, and exploration—just the tonic we need in this period of distrust, war, and social intolerance.
And there’s never been a better place for a Star Trek convention than Rio Las Vegas. The once-beleaguered off-Strip resort is finally experiencing a renaissance. Its colorful two-tower complex now boasts remodeled rooms, new restaurants, a Star Wars-themed burlesque extravaganza, a reimagined pool deck, free parking, and competitive room rates.

Best of all, the Rio Las Vegas convention hall hub (above) looks exactly like a starship bridge! Put those factors together, and it’s clear that STLV – Trek to Las Vegas 2025 is going to be a smash.
Unless you’ve been imprisoned on Rura Penthe, you know that Creation Entertainment‘s fan gatherings are the biggest, most professional, and overflowing with famous stars. The organization produces conventions for iconic properties like Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Farscape, Stargate SG-1, Smallville, Battlestar Galactica, and other movies/series.

STLV – Trek to Las Vegas expands to five days this year, and with that comes over one hundred guest appearances. Big names like William Shatner, Walter Koenig, Jeri Ryan, Kate Mulgrew, Adrienne Barbeau, Barbara Bain, Bruce Greenwood, Denise Crosby, Doug Jones, Jeffrey Combs, Levar Burton, Rebecca Romijn, Sam Jones & Melody Anderson (FLASH GORDON 1980), and our favorite Land of the Lost stars, Kathy Coleman and Wesley Eure.
It’s been traditional in years past to focus on a particular entry in the vast Star Trek universe. This summer, the VOYAGER cast reunites to reflect on thirty years of adventure in the Delta Quadrant.

In continuing our endeavor to make Voyager’s 30th anniversary at #STLV: Trek to Vegas their biggest celebration ever, we present to you this special commemorative black and white Captain Proton group photo op! This is something that’s never been done before and likely never will again. They are in limited quantity, so get yours today! Get tickets here: https://bit.ly/STLV2025
So far, 115 guests have signed to appear at the gathering. Of course, real life can disrupt transmissions, so the lineup is subject to change. You can scroll through the current list of celebrities and schedule photo-ops with your favorites by following this link.

A five-day schedule will be packed with conferences, personal photo ops, parties, lectures, and much more. The entire Rio Convention Center will be transformed into a universe for fans to chat, learn, play, dine, share, and experience. There will be painting parties, crafts, concerts, karaoke, scientific lectures, and performances by magician Dave Cox with Bonnie Gordon (Star Trek PRODIGY).
So far, official events include a Saturday Night Gala, a star-packed Trek To Broadway show, a War of the Worlds staged reading, music by The Roddenberries, and a Vegas-style Rat Pack performance (above).  There will most likely be recreations of iconic sets, too. Keep on top of all the events by heading here.

Our favorite part of the convention is the Vendor Hall. This is where the celebrities are most accessible. You can stop to talk with them, get pics and autographs (for a fee, of course), relive your childhood memories, and purchase all that glorious merchandise and memorabilia.

Keep in mind that the Vendor Hall spans the entire spectrum of science fiction, horror, and fantasy. Not just Star Trek, but other major franchises and cult favorites.

In previous years, we’ve encountered Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination), Felix Silla (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century), Richard Kiel (“Jaws” of James Bond lore), Richard Hatch and Herb Jefferson Jr. (Battlestar Galactica), Virginia Madsen (Dune, Candyman 2), and Lisa Wilcox (Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Master).

Comic books, posters, vinyl and CD soundtracks, novelizations, toys, artwork, and collectibles. They’re all yours to view, admire, and hopefully purchase. So bring plenty of cash and comfortable shoes. Also, ensure your phone is charged with a backup power supply within reach. The costumes and set recreations alone should fill up your memory bank.

Single-day admission tickets start at $50. Of course, diehard devotees are inclined to purchase one of the many levels of event packages. They come in limited quantities, so get yours while you still can. For complete information on tickets and passes for STLV: Trek to Las Vegas, head to Creation Entertainment‘s website here. We at VEGAS 411 look forward to seeing you there.

It’s time to get ready for #STLV 2025! Creation’s ST:LV: Trek to Vegas is set to take place August 6-10, 2025 at the all-new renovated Rio Hotel in fabulous Las Vegas.
And the big news this year is that the convention is super-expanding to a full five days plus pre-registration night! What could truly be better?
Join us as we leave the docking station and head into the galaxy with 25,000 fellow Trek-minded folks who share Gene Roddenberry’s philosophy of a positive future based on inclusion and celebrating diversity.
The morality themes Roddenberry infused into his Star Trek lore are still important, now more than ever in this current environment. We LOVE the way ST:LV makes everyone attending the convention feel, as if this is what the world should be — one family for the common good. Plus, partying like a Trek star never hurts! – CREATION ENTERTAINMENT
