How many fingers do you see in the above picture? There are seemingly as many male revues in Sin City, with more on the way. But unlike the others, ROCK HARD MALE REVUE was born from specific DNA. Don’t worry if you’re bad at biology. We’re here to explain the birds and bees.
Creator/Executive Producer Denise Kraft
ROCK HARD is a passion project from creator/executive producer Denise Kraft, whose credits include BurlesQ. While the future of that show’s long-gestating revamp remains cloudy, Kraft’s plans for ROCK HARD couldn’t be more transparent. Kraft is uniquely qualified to create a revue that excites and entices fellow women.
Raise your hand if you’ve seen an adult production conceived by a woman with a psychology degree. Now, keep it in the air if that same person oversees a public relations firm, a business specializing in adult products, a ticketing agency, and a family of four children. You can lower your arm now.
A lady with heavy daily responsibilities, Denise understands the need to cut loose for “girl time”. ROCK HARD‘s goal is to satisfy that itch. VEGAS 411 has been following the show’s creation from conception discussions through the audition process (above) to rehearsals, coming together for a debut performance on Friday, April 11th.
ROCK HARD‘s sequences were choreographed by Okewa Garrett, a former member of Chippendales and the Paris Hotel burlesque show 53X, which we told you about here. You can see him putting potential cast members through their paces above.
Okewa Garrett has a unique perspective on Las Vegas adult entertainment, having worked behind the scenes and on the front lines. His experience in the Arts District nightclub world adds color to an already broad palette. A singer/actor/coach with boundless energy, Okewa will amp up the heat within each of ROCK HARD‘s hand-selected cast members.
As for the guys, expect a buffet of culinary delights, from established stars and other seasoned cuts to a farm-fresh newbie or two. The opening cast includes:
- Mikey Perez – Chippendales fan favorite and calendar cover model
- Kurt Nagy – pro dancer/instructor, Spice Wannabe, Voss Drag Brunch
- Sinjyn Monstaar – Kings of Hustler, Playgirl calendar model
- Hot Bunny
- Koko
“For years, male revues have been produced through a male lens, often overlooking what actually resonates with women,” Denise Kraft stated in a press release. “This show is about shifting the focus to create something that genuinely reflects women’s interests, desires, and comfort levels.”
“Building this show with a diverse cast in all aspects was extremely important to me because I want there to be some part of the show that every woman can connect with.” Of course, gentlemen will be welcome. But while productions like Chippendales and Aussie Heat have prioritized male inclusion, ROCK HARD‘s target audience will be focused.
