Actors Kevin Caliber and Mark Justice are busting out with brawn, biceps, and bullet-proof cinematic excitement…
Mark Justice
You might not know his name, but you’ve undoubtedly seen his face. Mark Justice is so damned handsome that people pay to associate his likeness with their products and services. He soars across billboards for Fremont’s SLOTZILLA zipline, smiles at you from inside casino elevators, and entices you to purchase men’s underwear.
But Mark Justice is not just another Vegas pretty boy. He’s a tech wizard, athlete, humanitarian, animal activist, and performer. Mark entertains thousands yearly at TOURNAMENT OF KINGS, the Arthurian-era Excalibur Hotel dinner show that features heroes, maidens, horses, and jousting. He’s also an actor who loves appearing in action films…a lot of them. Fortunately, he can perform many of his stunts.
Mark is part of a growing network of Las Vegas locals who work on low-budget and major-studio movies. The film industry is thriving in Sin City, providing plenty of work for those with skills behind and in front of cameras. It’s not unusual for costume designers, lighting technicians, directors, and performers to toggle between movie sets and showrooms. We’re just seeing more of it now.
With his dark, rugged features, Justice has played a number of villains. But he’s also a bit of a chameleon, perfect when a hunky lead protagonist is needed. From mobsters to cops, monster hunters to boxers. Mark has done them all. He’s been in over one hundred films and television series, produced eleven, and even co-directed a paranormal thriller called THE WAGER.
This month, Mark is riding a whirlwind of excitement thanks to THE TWISTERS, a B-movie knockoff featuring soap hunk Paul Logan. It comes from THE ASYLUM, the notoriously nutty production company that created the SHARKNADO series. Other tongue-in-cheek titles from THE ASYLUM include FAST AND THE FIERCE, ABRAHAM LINCOLN VS ZOMBIES, and LORD OF THE ELVES.

Kevin Caliber
If Mark Justice is the Robert Downey Jr. of low-budget action films, then Kevin Caliber is Chris Evan’s counterpart. Kevin exudes masculinity, confidence, vulnerability, and danger in equal measure. His stunning physique and facial features are so flawless that he could have been designed by artificial intelligence. Those factors come together to make Kevin Caliber the perfect leading man.
Kevin films a promo spot at Bellagio Resort
Although he’s based in Los Angeles, Caliber has family in Las Vegas and is here nearly as often as home. His work on feature films and television roles is augmented with photo and video shoots for major casinos. He’s appeared on dozens of romance novel covers and the pages of fitness magazines.
Kevin owns 50 Caliber Productions, an LA-based firm that produces films for big-screen and home viewing. His resume lists 116 acting roles and 25 producer credits. He’s also a stuntman, writer, and director. VEGAS 411 recently chatted with the St. Louis native and discovered his humble yet fascinating background.
A Marine Corps veteran, Caliber busted his butt for many years to get where he is now. He’s served as a civil engineer, accepted construction jobs, been a bartender, and even worked at a Blockbuster video store to make ends meet. All that effort paid off when he saw his shredded physique on a billboard for a new ABC-TV series:
“I was driving down Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. This particular stretch is known for its billboards. I glance up at them as I drive and just above the Sunset Plaza I see myself on a billboard for a TV show OF KINGS AND PROPHETS. I stare at it and kinda get lost in the moment.”
“When I look back at the road the vehicle right in front of mine is at a dead stop. I slammed on my brakes and swerved but hit the vehicle in front of me. I pointed at the billboard and explained I was an idiot who was distracted by myself. (The other driver) saw that only my car was damaged so he just laughed and drove away. I got an estimate and (the repair cost) was almost the same as what I had made for the shoot.”
Kevin decided to forego the repair until another wacky event ended his tumultuous “relationship” with the Mustang convertible. As always, he sprung back and kept moving forward…as is the life of an actor in the world of movie-making.
“On the left is a screenshot of my character in a pivotal serious scene. The right is just me between takes. I am not a method actor, so once the director says “cut”, I typically turn off the drama and drop the character. I love what I do and have a great time doing it.” – Kevin Caliber
At 42, Kevin remains an unstoppable force in physique competitions. His diet is understandably strict, with a preference for grilled salmon and vegetables. His fitness regimen may explain those perpetually rosy cheeks and eyes that appear to glow from within.
Like Mark, Kevin has a fondness for horror and action films. His company produced CRAVING, which was chosen as “Best Indie Horror Film of 2023” from Horror Realm. Upcoming titles include A HARD PLACE, a Vegas-based sequel to SURGE OF POWER, and THE MYSTERY OF EMMA THORNE.
You might know Kevin from his recurring role on Tyler Perry’s THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS. He’s played Batman in a fan-financed film, appeared in five episodes of Hulu’s FUTURE MAN, and even donned a red cape to portray Kal-El in the first-season opener of SUPERGIRL.
