“Modern Showrooms at Alexis Park” expands offerings for single-night artistic events…
Earlier this month I gave you a few updates on Modern Showrooms at Alexis Park Resort, the off-Strip duel-theater venue near Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Out is “Carpenters Legacy“, which moves to V Theater at Planet Hollywood. BurlesQ is on an extended hiatus for a major retooling, allowing fledgling DISCO DIVAS to expand its schedule. Now comes word on “Playhouse Series“, a new concept from showroom operator and Admit.VIP CEO Pete Housley.
Lisa Gay
Creative Director Lisa Gay, who guided the resort’s 104th birthday celebration of Liberace, oversees the Playhouse Series. First out of the gate will be “An Evening With the Phantom” starring Rose Kingsley and Larry Wayne. I attended a performance of this show at Clark County Library Theater earlier this summer, and it was a mesmerizing crowd-pleaser.
