The conclusion of a two-parter on off-Strip casinos and their efforts to reverse the “Great Entertainment Massacre of 2021”
In Part One of this report, I detailed the entire, lengthy roster of entertainment options at South Point Casino and The Orleans Showroom. In Part Two, VEGAS 411 visits The Venue, a unique, somewhat odd, and easy-to-find restaurant/bar/showroom inside Boyd’s Orleans Casino. In other words, a fun spot for good food and fun. Think of it as Chuck E. Cheese for grown-ups…at least after 8 pm.
The Venue is currently home to four resident shows:
Marriage Can Be Murder –
A Vegas staple, Marriage Can Be Murder is a whodunit mystery dinner show. Guests are challenged to solve the identity of the killer, who may be hidden among patrons. Performs Thursday through Tuesday at 6:30 pm, admission price of $74 (plus tax/fees) includes dinner and gratuity. RSVP to the wedding invitation by clicking HERE.
Adam London Laughternoon –
A family-friendly comedy/magic hybrid, Adam London’s LAUGHTERNOON has played numerous venues throughout the Strip and Downtown. Now performing at The Venue Thursday through Sunday at 4 pm. Prices start at only $15 plus taxes/fees, and you can order tickets right HERE.
“From Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend, all audience members of Laughternoon will enjoy a complimentary cup of delicious Anderson Dairy ice cream!”
LIOZ SHOW –
Israel native Lioz Shem Tov presents another comedic magic show, but this one is NOT for the kids. The alumnus of America’s Got Talent answers the unusual question of “What if an ordinary guy thought he was an accomplished illusionist?” in LIOZ Show.
Audience members must be 18 or older. Showtime is 8 pm Thursday through Monday. Ticket prices start at $19.95 and can be purchased HERE.
LATE NIGHT MAGIC –
Damian and Dayton Costa (center) of Pompey Entertainment
Our final entry is the adults-only Late Night Magic. Fresh from an award-winning run of nearly two years at Alexis Park Resort, Late Night Magic has been brought into the Pompey Entertainment fold by Damian Costa.
Formerly the head of entertainment for South Point Casino, Costa was part of the regime tasked with the unfortunate “Caesars Entertainment Massacre”. You can thank the new owner Eldorado Resorts for that move. Now Costa has established his own company, which operates Cupola Café and The Duomo at Rio Las Vegas, along with Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club…and more on the way.
Hosted by award-winning Doug “Lefty” Leferovich, Late Night Magic features John Shaw, Bizarro, new cast member “The Shocker” and guests like sexy Hollie England. Check out our previous article here, then head to The Venue to see Late Night Magic every Thursday, Saturday, and Monday. Tickets start at $29.95 via special web pricing.
