In Memoriam: Michael “Mike” Urquhart of “Together We’ll Be Okay”

VEGAS 411 bids farewell to an “unsung hero”…

It is with great sadness that we at VEGAS 411 say farewell to a colleague and friend, entertainer Mike Urquhart. Mr. Urquhart was part of the ADMIT.VIP family (our parent company). He and his daughter, Julia Jane, created and performed “TOGETHER WE’LL BE OKAY“, a musical dramedy that played for two seasons at Modern Showrooms at Alexis Park.

“A touching, fun-packed musical featuring a father-and-daughter duo. Audiences laugh, cry, sing along, and dance while Mike and Julia breathe new life into timeless classics. Songs are woven into their beautiful, heartfelt, inspiring story that explores coping with anxiety through teamwork.

Mr. Urquhart was a highly respected professional with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Born in Scotland, he was a Producer and Music Director for various productions and conducted/performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The always-cheerful gentleman performed on Broadway, built national music education sales and marketing teams, and was the Founder/Director of a successful music school. He was also the author and creator of a Global Piano Curriculum that reached Asia, the U.K., Europe, Dubai, and Australia.

Pete Housley oversees entertainment operations at Alexis Park Resort. He described Mike Urquhart as “a friend who was kind and genuine. An unsung Vegas hero.” Housley noted that TOGETHER WE’LL BE OKAY was a passion project for the closely-knit father and daughter.

Mike was proud of his heritage and was known to say, “You can take the man out of Britain, but you can’t take the British out of the man.” He was also quite brave and candid about his battle with pancreatic cancer, sharing updates about his treatment.

Julia Jane posted this message to friends and family on June 6/28/25:
