Automotive icon Carroll Shelby’s legacy lives on in Las Vegas.
Shelby Heritage Center
The Carroll Shelby Heritage Center is a museum honoring the race car driver and automotive designer’s legacy. This museum displays a rotating collection of Shelby’s impressive cars. Visitors can take a self-guided tour or opt for a private tour to learn more about production, Carroll Shelby’s contributions to the automotive industry, and his company.
Carroll Shelby started his own automotive company in 1962. His innovation led to the creation of iconic vehicles that are now on display to detail the history of his life and work. This museum opened in 2013 shortly after Shelby’s passing. Over 30 vehicles are displayed at one time and constantly rotated in and out from the company’s collection. Their production facility is actually right next door.
The Heritage Center is open daily, and self-guided tours are free! Private Behind-The-Scenes Tours are offered too for a fee. Private tours are conducted Monday through Saturday every hour from 10 am – 4 pm. Choose from two options: The Shelby Prime Experience or Shelby VIP Select Tour Experience.
The Shelby Prime Experience is a guided tour through the Shelby Heritage Center and production facility, showing how these cars are put together in real time. Your guide will also show you several cars, including prototypes, as well as share the stories and history behind them. This tour costs $39 per person.
The Shelby VIP Select Tour Experience is the same as the previously mentioned Shelby Prime Experience, but for $10 more you’ll receive a gift bag with $60 worth of Shelby merch. This tour option is $49 per person.
