WNBA Considers Hosting 2020 Season in Las Vegas

Interested in the WNBA? The 2020 season isn t over. Postponed in April because of COVID-19, executives are toying with the idea of holding all of this year s games in one location. Las Vegas is one of the top contenders.

Details are murky. Sources haven t revealed when exactly the season will start, nor what a move to Vegas would entail. The league would work with MGM Resorts, current owner of the Las Vegas Aces. However, don t expect to see a lot of games at Mandalay Bay, the Aces home turf. The team already has a huge homecourt advantage. Officials don t want to make it worse.

League Commissioner Cathy Engelbert has indicated that a decision will be made by the end of next month.
