UPDATE – 7/28/21 We received a direct message from Leyla Amir, who identified herself as co-owner of Tex Mex Tequila Grill. According to her, the restaurant has canceled any further editions of The Clubhouse. Within the correspondence, she stated the following:
“This whole thing was done behind our back and I flipped when I saw it on social media the day before it was to happen. There was ABSOLUTELY NO AUTHORIZATION to do any of this and believe me many heads rolled over it.”

After some issues with the venue, we have had to put The Clubhouse on hold! We will be looking for a different venue to pop up, and it might be a pop up for now, while we find a permanent venue! Thank you all for your support! Anyone who knows me, knows I don t give up. Clubhouse will be BACK!
It’s been a very long time since locals and tourists of the gay community have had their own dedicated night venue on the Strip. Many will remember KRAVE, the extremely popular destination that was part of Miracle Mile’s exterior row for many years. The last significant effort was LIAISON inside Bally’s. Headed by “nightlife impresario” Eduardo Cordova, LIAISON struggled to gain a foothold. It went through a variety of staff and management changes through eight short months (along with some accusations of homophobia) before shuttering. Cordova was released after only eight or so weeks. He went on to establish downtown’s THE GARDEN, which tumbled from classy hotspot to hot mess in less than a year.
But, onto positive things. Fortunately for those looking for a good time, none of the minds behind LIAISON or THE GARDEN are involved in The Clubhouse, which opens this evening (7/24/21), Located just a few dozen feet from the former KRAVE at the corner of Harmon Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, The Clubhouse is taking a carefully crafted approach to the classic “gay old time”.
According to Crooners, Inc. star and entertainment producer JC Lopez (Relentless Entertainment), part of the fun at The Clubhouse will be to find your way to the second-level space. Inspired by stylish speakeasies, The Clubhouse is located above easy-to-recognize Tex Mex Tequila Bar and Grill. Many longtime visitors will remember the venue as the former Harley Davidson Cafe.
With its easily accessible location, dedicated parking, great views, and fresh attitude, The Clubhouse certainly sounds like something worth checking out. As Lopez tells it, The Clubhouse “is a big old-school gay party”. Revelers can enjoy evening house music and dance beats that will segue into a New York-style after-hours hotspot. “I want shirts off by 1 am”, he joked.
In keeping with the secretive speakeasy attitude, Mr. Lopez would prefer to unveil interior designs once The Clubhouse is open and professional photographers have performed their magic. He did offer VEGAS411 this exclusive sneak peek, which should whet a few appetites leading up to tonight’s debut. Currently, operations are slated for Saturday evenings but may fluctuate as demand dictates.
Bar and hospitality operations for The Clubhouse will be overseen by Johnny and Taryn Russo. Joel Scott is their host and promoter, with Adam Amer of Tex Mex handling the logistics and JC Lopez as producer/host. Opening sounds will be provided by DJ LEXTO, and resident deejay JC will be there tonight as well. Dining will be available through partner Tex Mex Grill.
