Attention all runners, the 10th annual Summerlin Half Marathon will be on Saturday, April 23. The race will start at 7:15 am at the Lawn in Downtown Summerlin. The 13-mile course will lead runners through scenic parks and trails throughout the community, then back to Downtown Summerlin.
Throughout the course, runners will be able to catch a glimpse of the surrounding desert, mountains in Red Rock, and the Strip.
Runner registration is open and will remain open through the 23rd. You can sign up online. It costs $105 per person and all participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and finisher s medal.
Also, on Saturday the 23rd, in Downtown Summerlin will be the Tour de Summerlin. This is a bike ride for beginners and enthusiasts!
Riders can choose from three different routes; the 80, 40, or 20-mile ride. The routes for each distance can be viewed here. The 80-mile ride will start at 7 am, 40-mile at 8:15 am, and the 20-mile at 9:15 am.
Registration for all rides is $100 per person. Register online.
You are welcome to use your own bike, or bikes will also be available for rental. Reach out to McGhies Ski, Bike & Board; they ll set you up with the right bike and reserve it for you.
