‘Summer Show Shuffle’ Part 3 – Where Did Penn and Teller Go?

More news on show moves to keep you in the groove…

If you read Part 2 of Summer Show Shuffle, you probably thought you were up to date on the latest in entertainment news. So did we…until things changed a little more. So let’s continue with Part 3 and tell you what’s going on in and around the Strip.

Australian fans of Penn and Teller are in for a treat, as the comedy/magic duo is touring their country for seven entire weeks. That leaves Vegas audiences a little “S.O.L”, as they say…or does it? Comedic sensation Michael Carbonaro has taken over their Rio Las Vegas theater during the interim, and our Vegas 411 review is available here.

Michael Carbonaro: Lies On Stage performs Thursday through Sunday at 8 pm. Tickets start at $59.95 (plus taxes/fees) and are available here. The limited engagement runs through July 10th. Penn and Teller return to Vegas on July 14th. Order advance tickets here.

With summer tourism focused on day clubs and other outdoor activities, resident productions look to guest hosts as an added attraction. Michael Carbonaro may be a master illusionist, but a different kind of magic is taking over FAAABULOUS! The Show. Direct from Act2PV in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, America’s Got Talent favorite Steven Retchless will be joining the cast of FAAABULOUS.

Retchless is an accomplished dancer, singer, storyteller, and pole performer. His alter-ego “Stevie Hart” has been wowing audiences in the tropical resort city with risque humor, old-school glamour, and eye-popping costumes. Steven’s guest-hosting stint begins this weekend and continues throughout the season. FAAABULOUS! is our winner for “Best Drag Production of 2021“.

The PR team at CHIPPENDALES knows how to make the most of its guest hosts. Jersey Shore cast member Vinny Guadagnino is back for his fourth go-round in the iconic male revue. Whether or not you’re a fan, there’s no question that TV’s bad boy electrifies the crowd and continues to pack them in.

Vinny G will dance, shower, strip, and play “Chipp Shots” with guests every weekend through July 3rd. Vegas.com has discounted tickets starting at $62 (plus taxes/fees) by going here.

Our “Biggest Surprise of 2021” was CHASE BROWN VEGAS COUNTRY. Totally off-the-walls and packed with talent, the genre-busting Chase Brown works up a sweat while raising the temperature in the room. With sensual body language and a voice that channels Tom Jones at his finest, the Texas entertainer has won the hearts of men and women of all ages.

As part of the schedule shuffle at NOTORIETY, Brown’s show continues every Friday at the new time of 8 pm. New productions include WORLD’S GREATEST FREAKSHOW, which opens this Friday at 7 pm. Learn more by heading here.

We close out Part Three of “Summer Show Shuffle” with another new production. This one’s slated for historic Sahara Las Vegas, which has been given an extensive contemporary updating. So it’s kind of fitting that it’s the new home for RECKLESS IN VEGAS, a powerhouse band that delivers “A modern twist on vintage Vegas”. Fronted by studly Michael Shapiro, RECKLESS IN VEGAS recently received a multi-page spread in CHIC COMPASS Magazine, written by yours truly. Check it out here.

As I stated in the article “RECKLESS IN VEGAS may be the first group from Sin City to meld its golden era with powerhouse beats. It s the Rat Pack gang on steroids, pushing sexy sophistication to a level-eleven dream.”

The show opens on June 16th and performs Thursdays and Fridays at 8:30 pm. Tickets start at $49.99 (plus taxes/fees) and can be reserved here.
