Peggy Sue’s 50’s Diner along the highway from Nevada to California has become an iconic stop for road trippers. Some people make it a tradition to stop at this 1950’s themed diner going to and from their destination.

Peggy Sue’s was actually built in 1954, so it has an authentic counter with stools, booths, a Soda Fountain, an Ice Cream Parlor, Pizza Parlor, and a 5 & Dime Store inside! The restaurant is also full of Hollywood movie and TV memorabilia. There’s always 50s music playing around the clock too.

They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so stop by anytime. For breakfast enjoy classic pancakes, bacon and eggs, french toast, and omelettes of all kinds. The lunch menu offers cheeseburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, patty melt, french dip, and other sandwiches. Most of the meals are named after stars of the day like James Dean, Marlon Brando, Tina Turner, Audrey Hepburn, and more!

If you stop for dinner, expect steak, pot roast, pork chops, meatloaf, and fried chicken. Save room for dessert. There’s homemade pie, ice cream sundaes, shakes, and malts!

If you aren’t too stuffed, venture outside after your meal. Outside you’ll find the “Dinersaur” Park. Stretch your legs and walk through the small park of life-size dinosaurs, waterfalls, ponds, and trees.

This diner is located 10 miles north of Barstow on the I-15 Freeway at the Ghost Town Rd. exit halfway between California and Las Vegas. You’ll see plenty of signs helping guide the way as you get closer. This is their exact address: 35654 Yermo Road Yermo, CA 92398
