Spot Santa at Summerlin s Holiday Parade

Downtown Summerlin s Holiday Parade has it all: decorations, Christmas-themed floats, Santa, and snow.

Enjoy some holiday cheer at Downtown Summerlin’s Holiday Parade. Every Friday and Saturday evening, now through December 18, at 6 pm the holiday season will take over the streets for a 25-minute show. Watch holiday-themed floats featuring Santa and other characters glide by while snow flurries fall.

After the parade, Santa will be available for visits and photos at his chalet through Christmas Eve. Kids can also stop by to drop their letters in Santa’s Mailbox. Make sure to put your address on it to get a letter response back from Santa! Downtown Summerlin and The Howard Hughes Corporation are teaming up to donate $1 for every letter to The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, a local organization that gives kids in need shoes, socks, and more essential items.

If you’re interested in making a charitable donation this holiday season, stop by The Giving Machine. This vending machine provides several options for donations to choose from. Pick which gift you’d like to give, such as winter clothing, shoes, dental, or medical care, and the machine will take care of the rest.

Check out The Rock Rink to make the night even more fun. Rent a pair of skates for $16 and get out on the ice. The huge ice skating rink is open daily, located next to the 40-foot tall Christmas tree. Hours vary depending on the day; check here for more info

If you have little kids, hitch a ride on The Jupiter Express Holiday Train that goes around the rink and Christmas tree for $4.

Downtown Summerlin is a great place to partake in all kinds of holiday activities and get some holiday shopping done.
