Lift Your Spirits with A VERY VEGAS CHRISTMAS

Those of us who were hoping that 2021 would be a big improvement over the previous year have been largely disappointed. The world continues to suffer, our economy is in crisis, and the future looks bleak. What we DO have is each other to support, offer hope, and bring joy. The holiday season is upon us, and an upcoming event aims to jumpstart the spirit of giving with music, smiles, and generosity.

Singers Kelly Vohnn and Amanda King have come together to present A VERY VEGAS CHRISTMAS, a two-night holiday extravaganza on December 3rd and 4th. The collaboration will kick off with an invite-only VIP/Media event this Tuesday the 16th at Portnoy Gallery. A teaser performance for the production, the gathering will also double as a toy drive. Sponsors include Vegas Wish, Balloons with a Twist, MaxPawn, and the Portnoy Gallery.

“We are having a Toy Drive & Raffle to benefit Cure 4 The Kids Foundation which supports children and families through the cancer treatment process. We have 5 locations around town, including Prosecco, where people can drop off a toy. For those that do, if they scan the QR code on the poster, they will get $5 off their ticket. OR if they bring a toy to the show and buy tickets at the door, they will get $5 off (or a free raffle ticket if they’ve already purchased their tickets). A raffle will be drawn on Dec. 4 during the show. Two Jack Daniels lounge VGK tickets and other great prizes are available. “

Spreading holiday joy and magic to homes around the globe, the ladies and their celebrity special guests will add their signature flair to the Christmas music classics (from Motown to country) and lesser-known gems that celebrate the many holidays of the season.

This show is going to be in the grand style of the vintage television Christmas specials we all grew up on…remember the fun variety shows put on by Sinatra, Dean Martin, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, and Julie Andrews? We are very excited to share the stage with a lovely variety of special guests from singers to comedians! DIFFERENT GUESTS EACH EVENING create a new show each night!”

Both Amanda King and Kelly Vohn are pillars of the Las Vegas entertainment community. Ms. King provided an exceptional dose of elegance and charm to last year’s A VEGAS ROOM CHRISTMAS, where she channeled the styles of Ella Fitzgerald and Rosemary Clooney. Ms. Vohn has been hard at work on a new album of holiday music, due to release this month. She’s also appeared in productions like “The Woman In Me” and  Rockin’ Vegas Christmas”.

The duo will be joined on stage December 3rd by special guests Jimmy Denning (Tenors of Rock), Anthony Brady, Dennis Blair, and Anne Martinez (BAZ). The following evening they welcome Zowie Bowie, Broadway’s own Brent Barrett, Geechy Guy, and Lisa Gay. Musical Director Patrick Hogan (Mayfair Supper Club) will collaborate with David Vincola and the DV8 Little Big Band for a night of classics both old and new.

A VERY VEGAS CHRISTMAS performs December 3rd and 4th at Summerlin Performing Arts Center, 1771 Inner Circle, Las Vegas. Showtime is 7 pm. Tickets to attend the show or view it by live stream can be purchased at www.averyvegaschristmas.com. The show is suitable for all ages.
