Nothing says summer like perfect weather coupled with a day boating out on the lake! Fortunately, living in Vegas, you can have the best worlds with Lake Mead National Recreational Area being just minutes away from the heart of the city!
There is an abundance of outdoor recreational activities to engage in while vising Lake Mead, but I love boating! Boating is a popular activity across the U.S., and Lake Mead is no exception! Lake Mead boasts more than 290 square miles of waterway for boaters to enjoy. I am not a boat owner; however that s not an issue because I m able to take advantage of the boats and recreational watersport vehicles available for rental at the lake. My friends and I pack a cooler with food, snacks, and beverages, rent our boat and enjoy a day out on the open water!
