Stretch Yourself With Yoga in the Park

Downtown Yoga in the Park kicks off on May 2

It doesn’t matter who you are or what kind of shape you’re in- everyBODY is welcome at Downtown Yoga in the Park.

These weekly yoga sessions are designed to help locals and tourists improve their health. The pace is slow and measured, so everyone has time to move into position. Breathwork and meditation techniques will be taught as well.

Weekly Schedule (Starting May 2)

  • Saturdays: 9:20-10:30 am @ Container Park
  • Sundays: 9:20-10:30 am @ Container Park
  • Mondays: 7:00-8:15 pm @ Symphony Park ( the Smith Center)
  • Wednesdays: 7:00-8:15 pm @ Container Park

Outdoor Vinyasa Flow (Wednesdays)

Work up a sweat with yoga instructor & stand-up comic Shawn Fitzsimmons on the Container Park lawn. All ability levels are welcome here. The class focuses on strength and meditation.

Blooming Minds (Mondays)

Every 1st, 3rd, & 5th Monday of the month brings Blooming Minds, a yoga class geared for families. Instructor Jessica Castillo teaches mindfulness and body awareness in a way that’s accessible to children.

Sound Therapy (1st & 3rd Sundays)

Experience the healing sounds of Tibetan bowls, rainsticks, gongs, and more. Pholly La Paz will lead a flowing asana session after the sound bath.

Mindful Meditative Workshop (2nd Sundays)

Leticia Apablaza, author of The Me Time Journal, teaches the power of journaling and checking in with the self. A pen and paper are recommended.

Tickets start at $9 for all classes. Classes start May 2.
