The Las Vegas Raiders beat the Denver Broncos a week ago, but not without controversy. This time, it was for Davantae Admas giving a referee a piece of his mind. Adams received a $29,785 fine for the incident, and it comes while he is awaiting charges for shoving a camera person.

Despite the altercation, Adams made seven catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday’s win. It was one of his best performances to date. The question remains whether he can keep his nose clean for the rest of the season.

What if NASCAR could bring racing to the Las Vegas strip? While that might have seemed like a pipe dream five years ago, it is becoming increasingly likely.

According to Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority CEO and President, Steve Hill, NASCAR is considering a race on the Las Vegas Strip within the next few years. The decision seems to hinge on the success of the upcoming Formula 1 race on the Strip in 2023. Another indicator could be how NASCAR’s first street race in Chicago goes.

#3 Las Vegas Golden Knights post disappointing 2-3 record in last five games

The Las Vegas Golden Knights are having one of their best seasons on record, but are dealing with some bumps in the road. This has come in the form of a 2-3 record in the last five-game stretch. Logan Thompson even gave up five goals against the Vancouver Canucks in one of their worst performances of the season.

The Seattle Kracken and the Edmonton Oilers also claimed victories against the Golden Knights. While it’s nowhere near time to hit the panic button, this is a stretch of games they are going to have to learn from. They can’t afford to keep losing to middle-of-the-pack teams like the Canucks.

#2 Josh McDaniels reportedly can’t be fired

While Las Vegas Raiders fans have been calling for the ousting of Josh McDaniels all season, it doesn’t look like that will be happening. The latest rumor making its way around the league is that the Raiders don’t have the money to fire McDaniels.

“I’m saying right now: Josh McDaniels will be the coach this year and next year,” Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times said when asked about whether the situation.  “Raiders don’t have the money to fire him, to pay him off. They’re cash-poor.”

The Raiders are already paying an unknown amount to Jon Gruden after his email scandal forced him to resign.  Las Vegas also signed Derek Carr to a $121.5 million extension in another bad move. Who knows when the Raiders will be able to get rid of McDaniels at this rate?

#1 Josh Jacobs brings it home in overtime to give the Raiders a win

The Las Vegas Raiders fought a difficult battle against the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday and actually came out ahead. They won in overtime after Joshua Jacobs broke free for an 84-yard run to seal the deal. While the 40-34 victory was a breath of fresh air for the struggling team, it didn’t really change much.

Carr posted 25-36 for 295 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.  The quarterback might have struggled, but really came alive in overtime. As for Jacobs, he finished the day with 32 carries for 143 yards and one touchdown against the Seahawks. The team now moves on to face the Los Angeles Chargers.

And that’s what happened last week in Las Vegas Sports (Nov 20 – 27).
