Las Vegas Grand Prix tickets sell for cheap, the Las Vegas Raiders make coaching changes, and Kyle Busch comments on his worst season ever. All that and more last week in Las Vegas sports (Nov 11 – 17).
#5 Tickets for F1 Las Vegas stay (relatively) cheap
Las Vegas is set to host the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix Nov 21 – 23, and it’s sure to be quite the experience. The race utilizes a 3.8-mile layout incorporating some of Sin City’s greatest landmarks and hotels into the action.
Tickets for the star-studded event depend on what part of the track you choose and how much service you want. For example, cheap single-day general admission tickets cost around $250, while the exclusive experience will cost fans around $12,500. There are other options like the Flamingo Zone, which is currently $99 for single-day admission.
Last year’s race saw Max Verstappen lead the field from green to the checkered flag in one of his most dominant showings ever. Charles Leclerc won podium honors with a second-place finish, while Sergio Perez took third. Verstappen now looks to defend his title and dominate the race again.

#4 Las Vegas Golden Knights fans get mixed news

Last week, the Las Vegas Golden Knights signed Brayden McNabb to a three-year extension worth $10.95 million. McNabb’s extension comes on the heels of an 11-4-2 start for the Golden Knights and 13 positive minutes on the ice. He is also one of the first players to get an extension with others, including Adin Hill, still waiting.
In related news, Golden Knights captain Mark Stone is still listed day-to-day with an upper-body injury. He has yet to suit up for practice, free skate, or even be present at practices. Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy claims this probably won’t change anytime soon.
[Mark Stone] nothing new,” Bruce Cassidy said in an interview last week. “Didn’t practice. Don’t anticipate he’ll play tomorrow. We’ll keep calling him day-to-day until I hear differently from the training staff.”
#3 Fan confidence dips after Las Vegas Raiders staffing changes

The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a pretty controversial bye after firing several offensive coaches. These include Luke Getsy, Rich Scangarello, and James Cregg, who all oversaw major roles in the offense. Antonio Pierce is wasting no time filling these positions, having already placed Scott Turner as interim offensive coordinator and Joe Philbin as interim offensive line coach.
Despite these outings, fan confidence is down. According to Silver and Black Pride, the Las Vegas Raiders have gone from 24% fan confidence to 18%. The drop seems to reflect the moves made in the coaching staff, but there’s still the matter of why. There has to be something about either the outgoing staff or the incoming office staff that fans don’t have confidence in.
#2 Kyle Busch comments on toughest season of his career

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season is over, and that’s great news for Kyle Busch. The Las Vegas native only recorded five top-fives and ten top-tens in 36 races while also missing the playoffs for the first time in a decade. The final nail in his coffin is going winless, which snapped his 19 consecutive seasons with a victory streak.
“Arguably the toughest year of my career,” Busch wrote on social media days after the 2024 season concluded. “Full of trials, n heartbreaks. I know my RCR guys r gonna get after it this winter n we’ll come back stronger nxt season…”
Busch had a few opportunities to win and lock himself into the 2024 playoffs but always fell short. His most heartbreaking defeat came in the regular season finale at Daytona, where he finished second to Harrison Burton. Busch now has one more year at Richard Childress Racing before becoming a free agent in 2026
#1 Las Vegas Raiders lose to the Miami Dolphins

Antonio Pierce and the Las Vegas Raiders look lost after a 31-19 defeat by the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. This comes only a week after Las Vegas fired several members of their coaching staff in hopes of reworking the offense. Unfortunately, no solid progress was made, and the offense continues to struggle under Gardner Minshew as quarterback.
Minshew finished the afternoon with 30 of 43 completed passes for 282 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The worst part is that he failed to reach the endzone in the first two quarters.
The biggest problem with this game is that nothing has changed for the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense over the bye week. Altering the coaching staff didn’t work.
Gardner Minshew threw the ball 35 times on Sunday and only kept it on the ground for 16 plays. That shows a lack of faith in their running game with Zamir White and Alexander Mattison. Usually, teams need a good balance of run and pass on offense, and the Raiders are very one-dimensional right now. They now sit with a 2-8 record and a second matchup against the Denver Broncos coming next week.
