The Las Vegas Golden Knights lose again without Adin Hill, Ryback makes his most outrageous claim yet, and wild predictions are made about the Las Vegas Raiders’ offseason. It’s time for last week in Las Vegas sports (Jan 8 – 14).
#5 2024 opponents for Las Vegas Raiders released

The 2024 NFL season is months away, but the league released the names of teams that will face off in the fall. A quick look at the Raiders’ opponents list reveals two things. The first is that seven of their 17 games are against playoff-caliber opponents.
And then there is a slew of opponents Las Vegas hasn’t faced in a while, including the Falcons, Browns, and Saints. Some opponents seem easy on paper and could create a path to the playoffs. Others will test the Raiders heavily, like the series of brutal away games against the Dolphins, Buccaneers, and the Ravens. The Raiders even have to face the Bengals in an away game this year. That’s not going to be an easy game by any means.
#4 Ryback believes he would have the greatest WWE comeback of all time

Las Vegas native and former WWE Superstar Ryback is again making headlines for his outrageous claims. This is the same guy who walked right into Vince McMahon’s office one day and told the chairman that he would be the next John Cena.
He added to his absurd claims this week when he started ranting on his podcast, Ryback TV, that he would have the biggest return in WWE history. This is just next-level delusional in every sense.
“From the lowest of the low marks, all the way to the best fans in the world. And what everybody’s talking about is the greatest, the greatest return of all time this year. For when, finally, finally, ‘The Big Guy’ Ryback returns home and when I return home, I’m going to retire that piece of s*** Bill Goldberg once and for all.”‘
#3 Max Crosby gives cryptic warning to Las Vegas Raiders

Max Crosby is considering leaving the Las Vegas Raiders if Antonio Pierce isn’t hired as the new head coach. Crosby has even confirmed the rumor on his” The Rush with Maxx” podcast, claiming “anything is on the table” if Pierce isn’t hired.
Pierce, who took over for Josh McDaniels when he got fired in October, has a 5-4 record with the Raiders. He is also becoming a favorite in the locker room and has a lot of guys pulling for him. A big reason is that Pierce almost took Las Vegas back to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
Meanwhile, Pierce reportedly has met with the Tennesse Titans to interview for the head coaching job, which is a bad sign.

#2 Las Vegas Golden Knights burnt by the Calgary Flames 3-1

Everyone knows the Las Vegas Golden Knights are having a rough patch and that continued Sunday against the Calgary Flames. The Flames scored two goals on Logan Thompson in the opening period and tacked on another in the second. Thompson did stop 23 other shots from getting past him, but it wasn’t enough time for the flailing offense.
Chandler Stephenson is responsible for knocking in the Golden Knights’ only game goal in the third period. Alec Martinez and Mark Stone each helped with the assist.
Las Vegas now sits with a 24-14 record and is second in the Pacific division behind the Canucks. They are also four games ahead of the Kings and one game ahead of the Edmonton Oilers. This loss puts them back in a slide and is only making the playoffs seem more and more far-fetched.
#1 Wild predictions emerge about Las Vegas Raiders’ 2024 offseason

The offseason is a time for rampant speculation that leaves fans on the edge of their seats. The Las Vegas Raiders are facing that already as they try to overhaul the organization. This comes after Las Vegas finished 8-9 thanks to a 5-4 rally by Antonio Pierce but missed the playoffs.
Now, speculation is running wild about the future, and some very interesting assertions are going around. One, in particular, is a scouting report that hints at some pretty big swings for the silver and black in 2024. “Quarterback remains unsettled. Veteran wide receiver Davante Adams may be traded. Others brought in by former head coach Josh McDaniels, such as wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, may not be long-term fits in Sin City,” Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department wrote in a January 8 mock draft.
Changing the wide receiver roster seems like a mistake. Jacobi Meyers, Hunter Renfrow, and an emerging Tre Trucker. They would lose a major assist if Adams left, but that’s no reason to overhaul what is a pretty good group.
