Pro wrestling is invading Sin City in April and believe it or not, WWE’s WrestleMania 41 weekend isn’t the only show in town. There are a plethora of non-WWE wrestling events happening between April 13-20 that are worth seeing. They are also lower-cost alternatives for those feeling priced out by the current cost of WrestleMania 41. TNA Unbreakable 6 pm Cox Pavilion in Paradise Nevada
Let’s start with TNA Unbreakable at the Cox Pavilion in Paradise Nevada for what is sure to be a fun night of action. The only announced match for the pay-per-view is the finals of the TNA International Championship. Whoever wins will become the first-ever TNA International champion, which could mark a major boost for their career.
TNA is advertising several stars for the show, including the Hardy Boys, (Jeff and Matt), Nic Nemeth, Joe Hendry, and Eric Young. General admission seats are $40, but they also have power slam front-row seats for $150. There are even $90 seats for those wanting to get a little bit closer to the action without breaking their wallets. Get tickets here.
WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow April 12th, 3 pm at the Pearl Concert theatre
Another great option is WrestleCon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial SuperShow, which will feature several interesting offerings. These include Mickie James versus Maki Itoh and Dan Severn as special guest enforcer for Minoru Suzuki versus Butterbean. Game Changer Wrestling: Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 13 April 18th, 8 pm in Pearl Theater in
Las Vegas pro wrestling fans looking for something a little more intense should check out Game Changer Wrestling: Josh Barnett’s bloodsport. A unique event where matches have to end in either knockout or submission before the bell rings. The traditional ring is also stripped of its ropes and turnbuckles, leaving just the canvas. This means competitors are forced to rely on strength and brutality to win instead of high-flying moves
Bloodsport 13 is also going to have several appearances from WWE talent that are sure to make for once-in-a-lifetime moments. Among the featured matches for the show are Nattie Neidhart vs Miyu Yamashita, Timothy Thatcher vs Pete Dunn, and JR Kratos vs Karrion Kross. Other matches on the card are Zack Sabre Jr. vs Jonathan Gresham, Maika vs Karmen Petrovic, and Leyla Hirsch vs Jordan Blade. Worlds Greatest Wrestling” Living Dangerously” on April 17th at 5 pm at the Dive Bar
Hardcore matches are always a favorite among pro wrestling fans, and WGW has you covered with their Living Dangerously event. The show will feature Noah Anderson vs. Gin Sevani, Thad Maximus vs. Koto Hiro and, Bovi Kemper vs. Big F’n Joe, vs Tim Strange. Everything culminates with a WrestleRave Deathmatch championship bout between Dmitri Alexandrov and Chris Nastyy that is sure to bring the house down.
This is one of the better-priced shows throughout the weekend and is perfect for mature audiences. Tickets are $10 to get in and $20 for a VIP experience. You must be 21 or older to enter, and the show will last around an hour and a half. This is great for hardcore wrestling fans who want to remember the ECW days in Philadelphia or just want to see two guys beat the hell out of each other in a bar! Get your tickets here.
The action continues at 8 pm when Mark’s R Us presents “Cenobite at the Dive Bar This is where things get interesting with a Backwood Buchery match between Big F’n Joe and Nathan Mowery. Fans also get to see a Bricks board and barbed wire match between the Ice Man and Jack Harrop that is sure to have jaws on the floor. The night is capped off with a Destroy the Dive Bar match between Nick Gage, Ricky Shane Page, and Alex Colon. Get your tickets here.
Melina’s Diva and Drag Wrestling April 17th, 6:30 pm at the Gipsy
Come watch the ladies bring down the house during Melina’s Diva and Drag Wrestling show. This event promises to bring fans back to the Diva era along with drag performances that will blow your mind. Everything culminates with Melina’s invitational battle royal, which promises a plethora of surprises for fans. Get tickets here. Prices range from $25 to $30 for admission.
La Super X: LuchaMania 2 April 17 10pm at the Dive in the Las Vegas
La Super X: LuchaMania 2 is for pro wrestling fans who want to see non-stop high-flying action. TThe kind of bouts where the only limit is a superstar’s imagination and death-defying moments are the norm. You can see everything play out at 10 pm PT at the Nerd, featuring a pretty cool lineup.
Come see El MeXKal vs Aztek Kings vs Vaquero Fantasma and Arkangel Divino vs Ultimo Maldito. Then things only get wilder as Super Crazy takes on Jack Chartwheel and Rey Horus takes on Arez.
