Here are all the ways that Las Vegas sports can make history in 2024! The list includes championships, first-time-ever moments, and the extension of a historic NASCAR streak. Check it out!
#5 Kyle Busch extends his victory streak

Kyle Busch raced his way into history by surpassing Richard Petty’s 18 consecutive seasons with a victory streak. He accomplished this by holding off Chase Elliott at Auto Club Speedway to earn his spot in the history books. Now he has a chance to continue the streak.
There’s no reason to think he can’t win races with what we’ve already seen him do. The man won three races in 2023 and went on to the playoffs. Of course, he was eliminated in the second round after some bad luck, but he still had his championship form.
He proved he didn’t downgrade by moving to Richard Childress racing and can do another title run.
#4 WWE announces a future WrestleMania in Las Vegas

Las Vegas hasn’t hosted a WrestleMania in 20 years, but that might change with the city becoming a sports hub. There is just too much demand for WWE to ignore.
Imagine Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and other WWE Superstars coming to Las Vegas for the Show of Shows. Everything is bigger in Vegas, and WrestleMania would be too!
WWE has so many options with a landscape like Sin City that they can take advantage of. They are missing out right now. Some fans think this is all due to how bad the last WrestleMania in Las Vegas was, but that’s a poor excuse not to try again.
#3 The Raiders win their division for the first time since coming to Sin City

The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t won the AFC West since coming to Vegas, but they could under the right circumstances. Their win against the Los Angeles Chargers on December 14 proved they could be a great team.
If the Raiders improve their defense over the offseason and find a franchise quarterback, they could win the division. The Kansas City Chiefs look as vulnerable as ever after losing three of their last four games. The Broncos and Chargers are also beatable if the Raiders get the right team behind them.
They need the right coach to pull this off, too, however. There’s also the matter of deciding if Aidan O’Connell is the starter or if they want to take a chance on someone else.
These can all lead the Las Vegas Raiders to winning the AFC West in 2024.

#2 The Las Vegas Golden Knights win back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals

After years of trying, the Las Vegas Golden Knights fulfilled their destiny last season by finally winning the Stanley Cup. The moment is even sweeter given that they made the Finals in their inaugural season before losing to the Washington Capitals 4-1.
Now, the Golden Knights can go one step further by becoming the second team in Las Vegas to win back-to-back titles. And, unless Las Vegas has a repeat of 2022 when they fell out of the lead, a playoff spot is on the horizon.
How can this team not win a title with Jack Eichel, Jonathan Marchessault, Adin Hill, and Logan Thompson at the helm?
#1 Las Vegas Aces become the first WNBA team to win three straight titles

The biggest opportunity to make history in 2024 goes to the Las Vegas Aces and their quest for three straight championships. They already made history in 2022 by becoming the first professional Las Vegas team to win a title, which was a major moment for Sin City sports. The Aces followed that up with another title in 2023 and a 9-1 record in the WNBA postseason.
A few things are standing in their way, including the possible retirement of Candace Parker and the release of Riquina Willams. They need to make big moves in free agency to strengthen both positions. Besides that, the team seems to have chemistry down pat under head coach Becky Hammon.
No team can compete with the Aces right now. Of course, The Aces lose games, but they are rock solid and consistent when it counts. That’s why a third straight title is a possibility.
