There’s a lot happening in the Las Vegas sports world. Here’s what Las Vegas sports fans can be thankful for.
#5 Josh McDaniels will hopefully be fired as head coach

Las Vegas Raiders fans are not happy with Josh McDaniels as head coach of the team, but he might not be for much longer. He even lost a game to the Indianapolis Colts and Jeff Saturday, who only coached in high school. The writing is on the wall that this isn’t working out and that changes are going to be necessary. There’s just no excuse to keep around someone this incompetent for long.
#4 The Las Vegas Golden Knights had a strong start with Bruce Cassidy

The Las Vegas Golden Knights have accomplished the unexpected so far in 2022 and look to have a shot at the playoffs. The Golden Knights have a pretty solid goalie rotation of Adin Hill and Logan Thompson, who have anchored the team. The team just needs to stay healthy and put a full season together.

#3 Kurt Busch ending his career on his terms

Las Vegas native Kurt Busch’s NASCAR career coming to an end is nothing to be celebrated, but he is at least going out on his own terms. The dreaded announcement comes after Busch was injured with a concussion during a qualifying lap at Pocono Raceway. He was running at speeds over 180 MPH when his car slid sideways and backed into the wall.
Busch could have very well kept fighting to get back into the car on a full-time basis but instead decided to do what was best for his health. Busch can walk away from the sport with his head held high.
#2 The Las Vegas Aces brought home the gold

How can you not be thankful for the Las Vegas Aces after they won their first championship in 2022? This made the Aces the first Sin City team to win a championship, and they could probably do it again with weapons like Becky Hammon, A’ja Wilson, Chelsea Grey, and KelseyPlum. The Aces stormed their way to a 26-10 record in the regular season and an 8-2 record in the playoffs.
#1 NBA Basketball coming to Las Vegas

While we already have the Las Vegas Aces to go watch, we all know fans want an NBA team too. Lebron James even made his opinion known about bringing an NBA team to Sin City during a recent interview. Of course, it’s probably going to take a while, but the process is obviously in development. The city is already building amassive venue with the capability of hosting an NBA team in the future. This pretty much means it’s not a matter of if but when at this point. Adam Silver just can’t afford to put this off forever with the kind of demand there is here.
