So many words are used to describe the Las Vegas Aces, but few do the team justice. While we search for the proper word to describe this super team, here are five crazy stats about the Las Vegas Aces.
#5 The Las Vegas Aces have never swept a team in the WNBA Finals

The Las Vegas Aces have accomplished a lot over the years, but there are still a few things to check off the list. One is the bizarre fact that they have never swept a team in the WNBA Finals. That seems almost impossible when you consider that the Aces are a super team and have Becky Hammon as their head coach.
This team finished first in their conference four years straight, led the league in multiple stats, and won back-to-back titles. They also have some of the best players in the league at their disposal, including A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, and Candance Parker. This makes it all the more confusing that they haven’t managed a sweep yet.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Aces can do in 2024.
#4 Becky Hammon has a record of 16-3 as Aces head coach in the playoffs
Becky Hammon led the Las Vegas Acecs to a WNBA title in 2022, her first year as head coach. She followed that up with another dominant season with Las Vegas and another championship the following year.
However, the stat that should have everyone’s jaws dropping is her 16-3 record in the WNBA playoffs. That kind of success in a professional-level postseason is almost unheard of for a new head coach and just goes to show how talented she is. Her strategies and game plans are the Aces’ lifeblood.
Another interesting stat is that two of her losses came in the WNBA Finals in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Dominating the playoffs is one thing, but holding a 6-2 Finals record as a head coach is next-level talent. The other teams will have to work long and hard if they want a chance at topping Hammon.
#3 The Las Vegas Aces have won their division for the last four years
The Las Vegas Aces have consistently run the table over the past few years, resulting in four straight conference titles. The first came in 2020, the year they lost to the Seattle Storm in the Finals. The Aces were then eliminated by the Phoenix Mercury the following year, even though they led their division again.
It wasn’t until 2022 that the Las Vegas Aces won their division and won the championship in the same year. Las Vegas then repeated as conference champions for the fourth time in 2023 while bringing home their second title. This is a team that only gets better with time.

#2 Aja Wilson didn’t win WNBA MVP in 2023

reanna Stewart might be the 2023 WNBA MVP, but A’ja Wilson is the one who deserves the honor. Sure, Stewart set the single-season record for 40-point games. But that doesn’t compare to what Wilson accomplished in 2023.
Stewart finished behind Wilson in scoring, rebounding, and blocks, making the snub bizarre. Then there’s the championship, which Wilson and the Aces dominated, making everything worse. It’s almost like the WNBA decided to punish Wilson for being on a super team loaded with talent.
#1 The Las Vegas Aces are the first WNBA team to sell out of season tickets

The Las Vegas Aces recently became the first WNBA team to sell out of season tickets, showing their popularity. That will be a major advantage for the Aces and help them win a third straight title.
Just imagine how loud T-Mobile Arena will get when Aces fans pack it to root for their favorite team.
