Las Vegas is becoming a hub for professional sports and has racked up an amazing list of events hosted. In fact, Sin City has already hosted the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl, the ACC Championship game, and several championship games. What does the future of Las Vegas sports events hold for Sin City fans?
Las Vegas has already expressed interest in an NBA expansion team and are still in talks to be the home of the Athletics. The city also wants to attract the NCAA Football Championship but hasn’t gotten a hosting bid yet. Still, the future looks bright for Sin City. Here are only a handful of events the city will host for the first time!
1. Pro Bowl Games at Allegiant Stadium (Feb 5, 2023)

It’s true that Allegiant Stadium has already hosted the Pro Bowl, but never in its new format. Las Vegas will now play host to the next era of the Pro Bowl. Instead of a one-on-one game with too much risk on the line, fans will watch athletes play in a series of competitions.
This means that what takes place at Allegiant Stadium in 2023 will be historic! Having Sin City be the backdrop to what could be a very lucrative future event is only icing on the cake!
2. Las Vegas Grand Prix on the Las Vegas Strip (November 2023)

Formula One has experimented a lot to become more commercially accessible and part of that has been tweaks to the schedule. Fortunately for Sin City, the racing body announced that there will be a race on the Las Vegas strip in 2023. This marks the first time Formula One has raced in Vegas since 1982 and the first time ever on this new course.
The course is 3.8 miles long and features Koval Lane, MSG Sphere, and the Las Vegas Strip all being used as part of the course. The race will be 50 laps long and will be run at night. Not only is this big for Formula 1, but it’s also great news for the rest of the racing world.
“I think there’s something else about Vegas,” Lewis Hamilton said during an interview with Formula One.com “I think there’s an unbelievable amount of energy in one little space, so the weekend when we have the race here… I don’t even know how we’re going to be moving! It will be the busiest time, I would imagine, in Vegas – the race will be incredible.”
3. Super Bowl LVIII @ Allegiant Stadium (February 11, 2024)

There’s nothing bigger than Las Vegas finally hosting a Super Bowl and should serve as a perfect motif for the big game.
In fact, this could legitimately be one of the most attended Super Bowls in history. Just imagine what it would be like if the Las Vegas Raiders became the second NFL team to win the Super Bowl in their own stadium!
“The Raiders are thrilled the National Football League has selected Las Vegas to host Super Bowl (58) LVIII in February 2024,” Mark Davis said in a statement. “Hosting the 2022 Pro Bowl..The 2022 NFL draft.. And now the 2024 Super Bowl are just some of the ancillary benefits resulting from the public-private partnership we created with the state of Nevada to bring the Raiders to Las Vegas and build Allegiant Stadium. It’s only the beginning.”
4. Men’s NCAA basketball Final Four @ Allegiant Stadium (April 2028)

Las Vegas might have to wait a while, but the city will host the 2028 NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament. This will mark one of the bigger college sports events hosted at Allegiant Stadium and could pave the way for bigger things. Maybe even the College Football Championship bid Las Vegas has been waiting for.
