The future is up in the air for these four Las Vegas athletes who could be free agents by 2024.
#5 Adin Hill, Jonathan Quick, and Laurent Brossoit (Las Vegas Golden Knights)

The Las Vegas Golden Knights are officially the 2023 Stanley Cup Champions, and it took every player to get them there. From the high-powered offense to the suffocating defense, the team had the winning formula in the postseason. They also had one of the most versatile goalie rotations in the entire league.
Unfortunately, they have some difficult decisions to make before the start of next season. This is because Adin Hill, Jonathan Quick, and Laurent Brossoit all have contracts coming up in the next two years. Keep in mind that Brossoit is the man who led the opening charge for the Knights, and Adin Hill finished off the job in the Finals.
The Golden Knights can’t afford to lose the wrong members of their goalie rotation. They made that mistake in 2021 when they let go of Marc-Andre Fleury to gain cap space. Now they face the same problem and will have to work hard to figure out who to keep.
#4 Candace Parker (Las Vegas Aces)

The Las Vegas Aces signed free agent Candace Parker during the offseason, and she is already mixing with the team. She is also contributing very well to the squad with a pretty solid stat sheet for a player on a new team.
It’s hard to imagine Parker staying in Las Vegas for two years. Of course, she could retire after several years in the league, but it would hurt the team. This would also leave a major hole that will need to be filled by another star power. Hopefully, she doesn’t go, but who knows what could happen in two years.
#3 Joshua Jacobs (Las Vegas Raiders)

While The Las Vegas Raiders have made many positive changes throughout the offseason, they still make mistakes. A big one continues to be not coming to an agreement with Joshua Jacobs on a new contract. Instead, rumors indicate that they want to franchise tag him, a slap in the face to the young man.
The franchise tag will net him about $10 million next year, but he’s worth more. One could argue that between setting the rush record in 2023 and being the only bright spot for the team, the Raiders need him. That’s what makes it so sad that they forget about such a key piece of the playoff puzzle.
To put things in perspective, Jacobs put up 1563 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 4.9 yards a carry in 340 attempts. This means that when Derek Carr faltered, Joshua Jacobs stepped up to the plate. Of course, it didn’t always work out how everyone wanted, but Jacobs sometimes carried that offense. Furthermore, he did so after having his fifth-year option declined at the beginning of the season.

#2 Jonathon Marchessault (Las Vegas Golden Knights)

Another player the Las Vegas Golden Knights need to worry about is Jonathon Marchessault, whose contract expires in 2024. This man scored 13 goals in the 2023 playoff and accumulated 17 positive minutes on the ice. He also had three power-play points and three power-play assists in the postseason. Marchessault is one of the Knights’ most versatile weapons and worth keeping around.
The man played a major role this season, and losing him would be a massive shame. Of course the Golden Knights have a history of letting their best players go at the worst possible time.
