1. Smart Casual for the Day
If you re headed to the casino during the day, then smart casual is acceptable, if not encouraged. This means that men can wear collared tops and shirts with tasteful prints while women can go for blouses and chic dresses. Naturally, clothes should be neat, pressed, and clean. Those sporting torn and rumpled looks are definitely not welcome.
2. Something Fancier for the Night
Nights at the casino are a little more formal, particularly if you re planning to go to the more famous ones, which are usually located in the city s most luxurious hotels. Suits and elegant dresses are in your Sunday s best if you will. And, don t even think about wearing flip flops if you’re going to hit the club or a fancy lounge.
3. No Wacky and Offensive Prints
Shirts today come in all shapes, sizes, and prints but that doesn t mean that all of them are acceptable! It goes without saying that you should stay away from those emblazoned with text or images that others may find offensive. Print that pertains to another ethnicity, country, or religious belief should also be left at home. When in doubt, go for plain shirts or those with simple logos.
4. Take Note of your Shorts
Generally speaking, shorts are alright in most Las Vegas casinos; however, you should take note of what kind of shorts they are. For instance, women shouldn t wear those that are too short or too revealing unless they want a lot of attention. Men, meanwhile, should stay away from shorts that look too casual, or those that are too wild, such as crazily-printed ones if they want to get noticed.
5. No Swimsuits Allowed
It can be tempting to head right over to the hotel casino after a refreshing dip in the pool; however, it s best to dress in something a little bit more conservative and formal before doing so. At the very least, put on a cover-up, such as a wrap dress or a shirt. The flip flops, though, should be left back in your hotel room.
