Racing fans can get their fix this weekend as the Mint 400 roars back into town. On Friday, you can check out the qualifying event. The actual off-road race twists and turns through the arid Primm/Jean area on Saturday. There are a few other race-affiliated events that might be fun as well.

2. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early

St. Patrick’s Day isn’t until next week, but you can get a jumpstart on the revelry at the Downtown Water Street District’s three-day St. Patrick’s Day festival. This year’s theme is “The Leprechauns Made Me Do It.”
Experience a taste of Ireland with themed food, whiskey tastings, and Irish step dancing. There will also be carnival rides and games every day. A parade kicks off on Saturday at 10 am.

3. Win free ice cream for a year

4. Drink beer for St Patrick’s Day

Henderson’s St Patrick’s Day festival is a family affair. If you want a rowdier scene, head down to the 3rd Annual Sham-Rock the Park party at Downtown Container Park. The bash features unlimited beer, including Guinness. Live music will set the scene.

5. Go down the rabbit hole

Area15 welcomes We’re All Mad Here on Saturday. The Alice in Wonderland-themed party features blazing EDM sets and costumed dancers roaming the grounds. It’s a one-night rave.
