English photographer Cig Harvey’s surrealist exhibition at FreyBoy Art Salon (FAS44) debuts this weekend. It’s also the debut of the studio itself.
Harvey’s images are valued between $2,500 and $10,000. Make sure you check out the exhibit on Friday or Saturday because the studio will be appointment-only starting Sunday. This is your chance to immerse yourself in the local art scene.

This weekend, head over to Mesquite for the annual hot air balloon festival. The picturesque town is just 90 minutes north of Las Vegas. Throughout the packed weekend, you can enjoy the sight of hot air balloons sparkling in the skies, eat delicious food, and hang out with fun people. There will also be live entertainment at the local casino.
The festival is free to attend.

3. Celebrate Lunar New Year

If you like fancy Chinese food, you’re in luck.
Mott 32 inside the Venetian is offering a special four-course menu for the Lunar New Year. Feast on delicacies like Abalone Fish Maw Soup, Wagyu Beef with Black Pepper Sauce, and Brown Sugar Sticky Rice Cake for $148 per person. The menu debuts on Friday and is available until Feb 5.

4. Visit a vegan wonderland

Veganuary is almost over, and it’s going out with a bang.
Chef Williams and Steven Marcus Releford are hosting Vegan Wonderland at Artisinal Foods. The festival is a party for vegans, an extravaganza with food, entertainment, and art. This event is free, but donations are welcome. The money will support the performers.

5. Sample more than 50 local beers
Beer drinkers, this is for you.
Big Dog’s Brewing Company’s annual Winterfest is back, which means that it’s time to sample some local brews. You’ll get a new, clean glass with each half or full-size pour. Tickets start at $29 for 10.

Relax with the family at Barbie: The Exhibition. The exhibition celebrates Barbie’s extraordinary career as the most influential doll in history. Barbie reflects our culture and here you can see it all on display. Check out iconic dolls including the Original 1949 Barbie and soak up details from hundreds of artifacts, photos, and video clips.
