What To Do in Las Vegas This Weekend (Apr 29 – May 1)

Immerse yourself in the NFL Draft at multiple locations, get scared at The Haunted Tavern, dance to hip-hop beats at The Strong Music Festival, and more this weekend in Las Vegas

1. Immerse yourself in the NFL Draft @ multiple locations

This weekend is all about football. We’re in the midst of the NFL Draft, a three-day party on the Strip with live entertainment and a free, football-themed carnival. And, of course, the actual draft.

A lot of the action’s happening in The LINQ’s parking lot. The Draft Theater is hosting acts ranging from Blue Man Group to Marshmello, while the NFL Draft Experience features interactive exhibits, games, special photo ops, and more.

Road closures hit the Strip on Wednesday and will remain until Friday at 11:59 pm. See the map here.

2. Get scared @ The Haunted Tavern

You don’t need to wait for Halloween for a haunted pop-up.

This weekend The Art Houz movie theater has transformed into The Haunted Tavern. Get into the mood with four themed cocktails and creepy ghost stories. The theme for the night is Ichabod Crane.

Tickets are $55 and include all four drinks.

When: Thursday – Sunday @ 6, 8, or 10 pm. The experience debuted on Thursday and will run for three consecutive weekends.

Where: Art Houz Restaurant, Bar & Theaters

3. Dance to hip-hop beats @ The Strong Music Festival

It’s time to dance all night. 

The Strong Musical Festival features at least 12 hip-hop acts, including  Lil Yachty, Lil Tecca, and Tory Lanez. Curtains go up at 3:30 pm, but expect a long night.

4. Delve into the true crime world @ CrimeCon 2022

True crime professionals and fanatics are flying into Vegas this weekend for CrimeCon 2022. 

This three-day event has panel discussions,  live podcast tapings, meet-and-greets, and more. If you watch true crime, you’ll probably see a familiar face. See the full event schedule here.

5. Stuff your face with amazing Mexican food @ The Tacos & Tamales Festival

Gorge yourself on Mexican food at the Tacos & Tamales Festival. There will be a ton of options to try from at least 30 food trucks and restaurants. Live entertainment and carnival rides round out the entertainment. 

Tickets are $5 for admission, $35 for an alcohol tasting package.

6. Explore the Night Market @ Tivoli Village

We’re in the midst of spring, and the weather is beautiful. Feel the sultry night air on your skin and browse through vendors at the Night Market at Tivoli Village. 

This all-ages party features live music, games, food trucks, and vendor booths operated by local artisans. Bring the whole family- including the dog! 

When: Saturday, 5 – 9 pm

7. Enjoy a drag brunch @ Taco Bell

Taco Bell is branching out. 

The fast-food giant is kicking off its Taco Bell Drag Brunch this Sunday. Sip mimosas, eat breakfast burritos, and watch local drag performers take the stage. 

When: Sunday @ 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.
