1. Zion National Park

If you re a local or have been to Vegas several times and are looking for something different to do, visit Zion National Park. It s only a three hour drive from the city, which makes it great for a weekend or even just a day trip.
2. Springdale

Zion is located near the town of Springdale, Utah. Here you ll find several local shops, restaurants, and motels to stay in. One spot you have to try is Oscar s Cafe. It s especially good for breakfast. Sit inside or out on the patio in the eclectic atmosphere and enjoy home-cooked comfort food.
There s a shuttle that runs through the town to take visitors to and from the park. This is a great option to avoid the hassle of finding parking spots in the park. It ll take you to the visitor s center, the lodge, and stop at all of the hiking trailheads.
3. Hiking

Zion has numerous hiking trails that range from easy to moderate to strenuous. Make sure to check out which trails suit your style here before your trip. Some of the more popular hikes include: the Riverside Walk, the Canyon Overlook, Upper and Lower Emerald Pools, Angels Landing, and The Narrows.
4. Camping

There are a couple of campgrounds inside of Zion National Park. There s the South Campground and the Watchman Campground. You ll need to make reservations before your trip though. The campgrounds fill up fast during the Spring season. While Zion can be a quick spontaneous trip, it will require some planning if you want to stay overnight. Make sure to do some research before you hit the road.
