Ride The Las Vegas High Roller: Day or Night?

Thinking of riding the High Roller? Find out which is better: enjoying the view during the day or at night.

The High Roller at The Linq is a fun way to take in the sights from the center of The Strip. The giant observation wheel takes you 550 feet above The Strip! During your 30 minute ride in the spacious passenger pod, you ll have never-ending 360-degree views of the city.

Now, what s better: riding the High Roller during the day or at night?

During the day tickets are a little bit cheaper. Adult s tickets cost $23.50 versus $34.75 after 4pm and kid s tickets (ages 7 to 17) cost $8.50 and go up to $17.50 after 4pm. As for the view, during the day you ll be able to see more than just The Strip. You ll see the entire Las Vegas Valley, the surrounding mountains, and the contrast between the city and the desert. As of right now, you can only ride the High Roller during the day Friday through Sunday. The wheel is open Friday through Sunday from 12pm to 12am.

Sunset & After Dark

Riding the High Roller after 4pm requires you to purchase an Anytime Ticket, which is essentially considered nighttime. Riding the wheel after dark provides a closer look at all of the hotels as they re lit up. If you time it right, taking a ride at sunset is a great compromise between day and night views. You ll still be able to see the desert landscape and experience the glittering lights of The Strip. Monday through Thursday you can take a ride from 4pm to 12am.

Choose whichever time of day fits your schedule, budget, or based on which view you d rather see. Honestly, you can t go wrong no matter what time of day you choose!
