What It s Like To Eat at Barry s Downtown Prime Inside Circa Las Vegas

I went to Barry’s Downtown Prime inside Circa Las Vegas, one of Sin City’s newest steakhouses. Here’s what the experience was like

Barry s Downtown Prime at Circa Las Vegas is a premier steakhouse with a classic menu and a swanky design. It s also Downtown Vegas newest high-end restaurant. Let s break down exactly what you need to know about this trendy spot and discuss a few menu items you might want to try. 


Barry s is located inside Circa Las Vegas, a brand-new resort on Fremont Street in Downtown Vegas. The entire property is restricted to ages 21+ except for Barry s. So, make sure everyone in your group is an adult if you want to do anything inside Circa besides eat at the restaurant. Underage guests are not even be allowed to stand in the lobby. 

Circa is split into three levels. You ll find Barry s on the bottom floor in its own exclusive area. If you get lost inside the casino, look for the giant, neon Vegas Vickie sign. The restaurant is located below the cowboy boots. 

The Experience 

Choosing where to eat when you re in Downtown Vegas isn t easy because the area is known for its innovative, award-winning restaurants. But, if you want to pamper yourself with delicious food and a gorgeous environment, Barry s is the perfect place to be. 

The steakhouse features a throwback 1950s/60s design with retro-inspired artwork and old-school elegance. Diners can enjoy their meal in an intimate, semi-private setting although Barry s is the largest restaurant on the resort property and can seat 350 people. This because of how the booths are crafted. 

Make sure you make a reservation before you go. It s not required, but it s the only way to ensure you get a table on busy nights. Reservations can be made by visiting or by calling (702) 726-5504.

The Menu

Barry s is only open for dinner service. The menu is diverse, but, as you probably expect, Steak is the star. You can order Appetizers, Salads, Soups, Non-Steak Entrees, Steak, Sides, and Desserts.


The Chilled Seafood Platter is the standout here. Feast on Maine lobster, king crab legs, shrimp cocktail, and more with an apple cider mignonette and spicy cocktail sauce.


Pay attention to The Real Garbage Salad. It s a mix of romaine lettuce, baby lola rosa, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, artichoke hearts,hearts of palm, crispy shallots, dried salami, gulf shrimp,blue cheese, and champagne-dijon vinaigrette. I know this sounds like a lot of food, but the portion size is actually fairly small. If you were hungry, you could finish the salad and still have room for a steak.


Barry s only gives you two soup options- Lobster Bisque and Onion.


The entree list is impressive, but what really caught my eye was the Surf & Turf. This is a plate of small filet medallions with a Maine lobster on top. The food is covered in a deep red wine sauce. Once again, the portion is reasonably sized. Here, both the steak and lobster shine. The meat is juicy and tender with a light smokey flavor. The lobster tastes fresh and slightly sweet.


The signature steak is Barry s Steak, a 12oz rib cap. This steak has a thicker crust than the ribeye medallion, so the flavor is richer, meatier. Despite the slight char on the outside, the rib cap is tender and moist.


I ordered the Belgian Mashed Potatoes. They re creamy and buttery and taste delicious oozed over steak. If you like smooth, skin-less mashed potatoes, you ll love these.


I skipped ordering dessert, but my wonderful server brought the table a small, complimentary sample dessert platter. It was delicious! The lemon cookie and the sprinkle-dipped cookie are especially good.
