#5 Sylvia Fowles

Depth will be the name of the game for the Las Vegas Aces in 2022, and that’s why they need to invest in a center that can carry the load when the star is on the bench. Whether that turns out to be Liz Cambage or someone else is up for debate, but the point is that adding depth to the position would be a massive plus for a team already on the verge of a championship. Fortunately for the Aces, Slyvia Folwes is quite the candidate.
Not only is that evident by her great field goal percentages, which would be a huge asset from the bench, but also by her average of ten rebounds per game in 2021. She would thrive in the Aces’ offense.
#4 Liz Cambage

While Liz Cambage is one of the most talented centers and players in the entire WNBA, no amount of talent in the world will help if she doesn’t want to be there. Unfortunately for the Las Vegas Aces, it seems like that is the case. There are already rumors that she wants to be given the core designation and has been described as not the best fit for A’ja Wilson.
Cambage only needs to be targeted if she is willing to play second fiddle to Wilson. If not, she needs to be released and sent to a team that she actually wants to play for. There is just way too much money, talent, and championship hardware at stake to have one foot out the door, and that’s what the Aces need to address with Camabge.
#3 Courtney Vandersloot

As we’ve said, it s all going to come down to roster depth for the Las Vegas Aces in 2022. They need players that can be as effective on the court as the starters are every game. They need players that can hold a lead or even add to it and that s why someone like Courtney Vandersloot seems so attractive.
Of course, it s going to come down to whether Courtney wants to go from a championship-winning starter to a bench player, but she could work wonders for this team. In fact, her reliability when shooting, her ability to create open shots for other players, and her championship expertise would be a huge gain for the Las Vegas Aces. If only she would be open to it.
#2 A ja Wilson

It’s no secret that a lot of this team’s future depends on retaining A’ja Wilson in 2022, and that’s exactly why they can’t allow the former MVP to slip through their fingers. In fact, this is the same woman that led the team to the WNBA Finals in 2020 after the loss of Kelsey Plum and Liz Cambage put them behind the eight ball from the beginning.
With that being said, Wilson is arguably the Ace’s best scorer, their most experienced playmaker, and the driving force behind the squad. To lose her would be to start over. It’ll be hard to replace the chemistry that the Aces have with Wilson at the helm, which is why signing her is a must.
#1 Jonquel Jones

If the Las Vegas Aces want to make a statement and go for the big fish in the market, they should look no further than Jonqueal Jones of the Connecticut Suns. She probably wants to stay where she’s at, but Vegas owes it to themselves to at least try. Liz Cambage couldn t get the team to the WNBA Finals in 2021, what s to say she can do it in 2022?
If Cambage isn t the answer to the team’s championship drought, they need to replace her with someone who can take them there and not look back. She wants to play somewhere else anyway.
