Resorts World officially opens its doors on June 24- and it’s BIG news. This is the first casino built from the ground up on the Strip in over a decade! And it nearly didn’t happen. Work on Resorts World began in 2013, but like most big projects on Las Vegas Blvd., there were a lot of hiccups, scrapped plans, and uncertainty to wade through to get this point.
Now, Resorts World looks like it’s poised to dominate. Is this the new “it” casino? It has flashy headliners, 40 restaurants with drool-worthy menus, a gigantic nightlife scene, and innovations designed to lure in a new crowd of gamblers.
Intrigued? Here are five cool things about Resort World you should know before you visit.
1. Cashless Gaming

Want to hit the tables but don’t like carrying cash? No problem. Resorts World calls itself the first “smart” casino for a reason. You can opt-in to totally cashless betting. Here’s how it works.
First, download the Resorts World app and join the Genting Rewards program. Next, decide how much you want to buy in for and load your account. Show the QR code you receive to your dealer, and you’ll soon have real chips to play with. When you’re ready to cash out, you can get a voucher at the table or have your digital account credited.
The cool thing about the Resorts World app is that you can use the digital wallet all over the property. This means you can head out with just your phone.
2. GrubHub Room Service

Room service, anyone? Instead of a traditional room service program, Resorts World is changing things up. They’ve partnered with GrubHub so guests can order from ANY of the property’s 40 restaurants 24/7. The food prices won’t be marked up, either; you’ll simply need to pay a delivery fee.
3. 3 hotels in One

So, this might be a little confusing. Resorts World’s 3,500 hotel rooms are actually split into three sub-branded hotels: the Hilton, Conrad, and Crockford. Each spot has its own lobby.
The Hilton rooms are the most affordable while Crockford rooms are ultra-luxurious and exclusive. All hotels offer digital check-in and keyless entry. You can use your phone as a key!
4. Award-Winning Headliners

The big names are already lined up. Resorts World’s superstar headliners include Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan. They’ll be performing in a 5,000-seat theater, one of the largest in the U.S.
5. shoppinh

Get ready for an epic shopping experience. Resorts World calls its two-story shopping plaza “The District.” You’ll find fun designer boutiques and pop-ups like the world’s first Kardashian Kloset.
