Overthecap.com is reporting that the Las Vegas Raiders will have 24 unrestricted free agents during the offseason and will thus have to think carefully about who to keep versus who to get rid of. Of course, there aren t many big market names in this free agent pool, but there are definitely people who Las Vegas might want to consider keeping around for the sake of consistency.
Top names include guys like Jonathan Hankins, Casey Hayword, Quinton Jefferson, and Marcus Mariota. Other interesting free agents are Derek Carrier, Zay Jones, Darius Philon, and KJ Wright. What new head coach Josh McDaniels ultimately decides to do with these free agents remains to be seen.

While The Las Vegas Raiders don t have many big names to re-sign over the offseason, the next one could be hectic for the organization. In fact, with Hunter Renfrow and Max Crosby coming up on the final year of their rookie contracts, some argue that it makes sense for Las Vegas to sign them to new deals sooner rather than later. Otherwise, the team might be forced to make very difficult decisions regarding cap space. According to Vic Tafur, Renfrow s contract could warrant upwards of $20 million to keep him around and could go up as the season progresses. There are no numbers yet on what Crosby would bring in, but one could probably imagine it is a significant amount.
#3 Marcus Mariota heading to the Green Bay Packers?

Marcus Mariota is coming up on the end of his contract with The Las Vegas Raiders, and while some would like to see him stay in Sin City, there are growing calls for him to go elsewhere. One particular destination remains the Green Bay Packers, who are dealing with the possible departure of long-time Quarterback Aaron Rodgers. A source even claims that if the former Super Bowl-winning QB is done with Green Bay, the team could push for Mariota.
Although Green Bay would be an interesting landing spot for Mariota, he is also being discussed as a backup for Jared Goff with the Detriot Lions. Another possible location for the former Heisman Trophy winner is the Pittsburgh Steelers, which would give the team a great arm and someone capable of making plays on the run. No matter where Mariota goes, though, it’s obvious that a lot of fans in Las Vegas are going to miss him. It’s also obvious that he could have a career resurgence and maybe even end back up in a playoff conversation.
#2 Las Vegas Raiders looking to sign Derek Carr to a long-term deal.

While it was originally reported by Vic Tafur of The Athletic that The Las Vegas Raiders might have been skeptical about signing Derek Carr to a long-term contract, another source is claiming that the organization is now willing to do so. According to NFL.com, the Raiders could be looking to sign Carr to a short-term deal.
Jordan Schultz of The Schultz Report is reporting that Carr is asking for around $35 million annually, which would tie him with Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson as the highest-paid QB in the NFL.
#1 Derek Carr willing to take a pay cut to get Devontae Adams on the Las Vegas Raiders

One of the biggest what-ifs this offseason has to be what the Las Vegas Raiders will do to improve their team. While a lot of that will come down to making changes on the defense, there is still some retooling the offense could use as well. The biggest has to be another wide receiver capable of taking the load off of Hunter Renfrow as Derek Carr’s go-to guy.
With that being said, there are growing rumors that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Devontae Adams could be willing to come to Las Vegas to reconnect with Carr. There are also rumors floating around that Carr is willing to take a pay cut to make the deal happen. Of course, Adams leaving Green Bay seems to be contingent on whether Aaron Rodgers stays put, but if he does, word has it that the Raiders will make a play for him.
“I one hundred percent believe Derek Carr would take less money if it went into the Davante [Adams] pool,” Sports Illustrated’s Hondo Carpenter said on Raider Nation Radio 920 AM. “Let’s just say that I believe that with 100 percent certainty based on a conversation I have had with people who are in the know. If Derek has to take a little bit less to get Davante, he will.”
