Richie Incognito out for season and could retire after having surgery
Raider Nation is going to bed with heavy hearts this week. It was announced via teleconference press event that Richie Incognito is officially out for the season. The man was supposed to be a part of the Raiders’ heavy investment in the team’s future, and the organization even coaxed him out of retirement with a two-year, $6 million deal.
Unfortunately for Incognito, he suffered an Achilles injury in week two against the New Orleans Saints and has been on injury reserve ever since. The former Dolphins player reportedly received career-ending surgery sometime in the last few weeks.
4 Las Vegas Golden Knights players test positive for covid-19
The Las Vegas Golden Knights’ season might be over, but their exposure to catching Covid-19 isn’t. Four unidentified members have come down with the virus. The organization is choosing not to release names but claims that all four players are self-isolating.
“Four Golden Knights players recently tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Those individual players have been self-isolating and are all recovering well, reads a released statement by the organization.
5 businesses fined for Covid-19 noncompliance
The Covid-19 pandemic continues to ravage the world right now, and Las Vegas is no different. In fact, five Las Vegas businesses have been fined for noncompliance, and three of the organizations are sports businesses. The fines were issued by OSHA to the Las Vegas Sports Basketball Center LLC, Integrity Sports Officiating LLC, and Tarkanian Basketball Academy. Each company was fined $3,643.
The Las Vegas Basketball Center and Integrity Sports officiating are both accused of operating close-contact basketball games with officials present, while Tarkanian Basketball Academy was fined for customers not wearing face masks. Tarkanian was also fined for not social distancing during a scrimmage match, and for not using an approved disinfectant.
3 former Raiders players make Hall of fame semi finals
You know you are good when you make it to the NFL hall of fame, and that is exactly what could happen to three longtime Raiders players who have made it to the semifinals of the selection process. Defensive back Charles Woodson, cornerback Eric Allen, and defensive linemen Richard Seymour have all made the final 25 and now sit with a chance to join the best of the best.
It will be interesting to see who makes the final cut.
