4 Korean Snacks You Can Find in Vegas

If you haven’t tried Korean food, you’re missing out- but don’t worry. Here’s a list of popular Korean food and snacks for you to try while in Vegas:

1. Kimchi

Kimchi is a staple in Korean households. It’s made from fermented cabbage or radishes mixed with all other sorts of seasonings such as chili powder, garlic, onions (preferably spring onions), and ginger. Whether you use it to make a rich stew or eat it with your rice, you really can’t go wrong with Kimchi.  Try it at the Kimchi Restaurant located near Las Vegas Boulevard or you can easily make Kimchi at home and use various ingredients to suit your palette.

2. Dumplings

How do you like your food? Boiled? Pan-fried? Deep-fried? Steam fried-perhaps? You can make dumplings in any of those ways. All that matters is your preference. A good dumpling can make you question all your life’s decisions. Need your daily serotonin boost? Have a dumpling. Need to unwind after a long day’s work? Have a dumpling. You can order from China Mama or try to make some at home. It might seem tricky to fold a dumpling when you try to make them yourself, but I guarantee you’ll become a pro after the first few tries.

3. KIimbap

This is one of the most popular snacks in Korea for a reason. It’s made from rice and a layer of seaweed wrap. Like dumplings, kimbap has various fillings such as tuna and mayonnaise, sausages and eggs, radishes and carrots, etc. Whichever combination of ingredients you’re thinking about it probably already exists; you just don’t know it yet. It is a light bite-sized snack that you can find at Q Bistro or a Korean convenience store. Regardless of where you get your kimbap, the snack remains delicious.

4. Choco Boy

Welcome to how to satiate your sweet tooth 101. This chocolate and vanilla biscuit, shaped like mini mushrooms, will make your day. The chocolate and vanilla flavors mesh together to make a tasty and well-balanced snack. If nostalgia had a taste, it would come in the form of a Choco boy. Try the crunchy biscuits, and you’ll understand the buzz behind the snack.
