‘Tis the season to embark on some of the hottest 2024 holiday happenings. In a city like Las Vegas, plenty of unique experiences await. Visit these boozy bars, hidden speakeasies, pop-up lounges, and winter wonderland destinations for holiday fun.

A Christmas Parlor

Location: Mandalay Bay

What you need to know: Step into A Christmas Parlor at the vibrant Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar. The spirit of the holidays comes to life with nostalgic festive décor.

What to order: The menu features sharable bites like pizza, chicken wings, and charcuterie. It also has tableside campfire s’mores, an assortment of holiday cookies, and a yummy eggnog milkshake. Specialty cocktails, such as the Jolly Fire, Jingle Juice, Naughty or Nice, Santa Colada, and Reindeer Rumble, showcase the spirit of the holiday season.

When to visit: Monday through Friday, beginning at 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m. through early January

Santa’s Wonderland

What you need to know: In time for the 2024 holiday season, Sugar Factory turned its two-level restaurant into Santa’s Wonderland, a festive dining destination with inflatable holiday characters, colorful lights, garlands, and hanging decorations.

What to order: Expect over-the-top food with a holiday twist, such as the Winter Wonderland Pancakes and the Santa’s Sample Platter. Over a dozen seasonal cocktails include the Christmas Punch and Rudolph’s Red Nose Margarita (both served in a cute holiday mug). Large groups should go for the Christmas Cocktail Tree (includes four specialty holiday martinis) or the Santa’s Vacation (a sharable drink served in a giant glass).

Winter at the Terrace

What you need to knowWinter at the Terrace offers a charming outdoor setting each winter season, and this year is no different. The event includes fire pits, private igloos, festive photo opportunities, dazzling lights, and cheerful music.

What to order: The menu features a hot chocolate cart, sweet treats, delightful sharable bites, and winter-inspired libations, such as Baby It’s Cold Outside and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.

When to visit: Daily through Dec. 31. In January and February, the lounge will only be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., in addition to Galentine’s Day on Thursday, Feb. 13.

The Ice Rink

Location: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

What you need to know: The Ice Rink is the most popular holiday event in Las Vegas. The rooftop winter wonderland experience features a 4,200-square-foot ice rink with breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip. Other highlights include holiday movie nights, snow showers, open-air fire pits, a festive village sponsored by Coca-Cola, an adults-only Ski Lodge Waffle Hut, and an appearance from Santa Claus. The Ice Rink will also host a special New Year’s Eve celebration on Dec. 31.

What to order: Indulge in a selection of entrees, fresh popcorn, s’mores, and Mexican churros. On Monday and Tuesday nights, a sausage cart serves bratwursts and hotdogs, and on Friday and Saturday nights, pizza from Secret Pizza is served. Cocktails include the Mexican Hot Chocolate, Hot Buttered Rum, and Pistachio Affogato.

When to visit: Now through Jan. 12

Ski Lodge

What you should know: Ski Lodge, a cocktail bar hidden inside Superfrico, offers an après ski-inspired atmosphere all year. But it’s even better during the holidays with festive fun and seasonal specialties.

What to order: The cocktail menu features innovative options like Slava’s Snowstorm and Noche Buena, a spicy take on a classic hot chocolate. Baileys shot skis are also available.

When to visit: Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday through Sunday from noon to 2 a.m.

Bad Elf

Location: Silverton Casino

What you need to know: Bad Elf, a festive pop-up at Shady Grove Lounge, is back for the 2024 holiday season in Las Vegas. It features string lights, wrapped gifts, large ornaments, and many elves hanging from the ceiling. The lounge’s distinctive Airstream is also decked out in holiday décor with snow-covered Christmas trees, Santa, and his reindeer on the roof.

What to drink: The Cookie Butter Martini, Santa’s Spritz, Mistletoe Mimosa, and the Fireside Old Fashioned are highlights of the cocktail menu. You can order drinks individually or choose the inclusive package (includes two holiday cocktails, access to a fun puzzle hunt game, and a souvenir glass).

Oasis Ice Rink

What you need to know: New in 2024, the Oasis Ice Rink is one of the top places to visit in Las Vegas this holiday season. The six-acre Oasis Pool Deck transforms into two ice rinks spanning nearly 8,000 square feet for public skating and private group holiday events. The festive area also has an adults-only holiday village with brand activations by Veuve Clicquot, fire pits, photo opportunities, cozy cabanas, and weekly holiday movie nights.

What to order: Specialty cocktails include the Yuletide Nog, Holly Jolly Grinch, Tinseltown Punch, and Jack Frost & Coke. Hot chocolate, hot cider, and other beverages are also available. Pair your drink with food offerings, such as nachos, chicken tenders, beef sliders, or specialty hot dogs and sausages.

When to visit: Now through Jan. 5

Miracle on Easy St.

What you need to know: With sparkling decorations and dazzling lights, Easy’s Cocktail Lounge, tucked away inside Proper Eats Food Hall, becomes Miracle on Easy St., a winter paradise retreat. As you listen to the sounds of the featured artists, the lounge provides a warm and magical haven.

What to drink: Three holiday libations are offered, including the Bumpy Sleigh Ride, Naughty Gingerbread, and Dasher, Dancer & Prancer.

When to visit: Dec. 15 through Dec. 31

Candy Cane Lane / Ski Lodge

Location: Red Rock Resort

What you need to know: Rouge Room offers two distinct experiences for the 2024 holiday season. The interior has become Candy Candy Lane, a lavish festive oasis with verdant Christmas trees decked with shimmering lights, oversized candy canes, and sprigs of mistletoe. The outdoor area has been transformed into a cozy alpine escape called the Ski Lodge.

What to order: Seasonal cocktails include the Merry Christmas, Ya Filthy Animal!, Son of a Nutcracker, and Apres Ski Champagne Punch (served in an oversized ornament and suitable for four to six people).

When to visit: Thursday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. (Rouge Room will be closed on Dec. 12 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. & Dec. 19 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.). During the week of Christmas, it will be open from Dec. 24 through Dec. 29. A special New Year’s Eve ticked event will take place on Dec. 31.

Nightmare Before Xmas

Location: Más Por Favor Taqueria y Tequila

What you need to know: Head to Chinatown and enter Más Por Favor Taqueria y Tequila‘s festively adorned speakeasy through a sliding door and a tunnel illuminated by colorful Christmas string lights. In addition to a Christmas tree with themed ornaments, a Jack Skellington tree topper, and several hanging lights, the bar is filled with life-size replicas of Oogie Boogie, Jack Skellington, and Sally.

What to order: Festive drinks include Christmas Town Eggnog, Dr. Finkelstein, and Sally Apple Punch. Themed food items include the Oogie Boogie Dirt Pie, Sandy Claws Tacos, and Zero’s Bones.

When to visit: Now through Dec. 26. This experience is family-friendly on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. (ages 21 and up after 3 p.m.)
